OK, it is clear that same person(organization) control odds after every point(even after 2nd serve) using same bots(to hover every amount out of border from both sides of selection) on almost every tennis match. They also have unbeatable speed of feeds. Anyone knows who is that? Betfair or maybe some bookmaker?

Im surprised people don't take this subject more seriously. Ive seen a very fast feed for tennis and you still cant beat these guys, even if you take a chance and anticipate the point.

I think it's more beating the bet placement delay than  courtsiders. A courtsider can press Player A or Player B he cant control the more complex points (challenges etc) but still this mob have total control.

If it is a betting syndicate and not Betfair they should close them down because it's anti competitive at the min. Anyone sensible will leave it to them.
Report YOMOMMA July 16, 2014 6:02 PM BST
How do you get fast pictures and how much does it cost?
Report Oceanfinance July 16, 2014 6:22 PM BST
They were someone else's pictures but the cost was ridiculously low (£20 a day maybe) mainly because there's no edge!
Report mxrmaster July 16, 2014 6:27 PM BST
I thought that betfair itself manage tennis markets or some bookmaker with their betting software or company which officially distribute score updates to all others. A group of persons are involved here, one person cant manage 20+ matches at same time. I just was curious about this, but it is clear that you cant beat them. Betfair will not ban them for sure, because they pay big amounts premium charges for sure.
Report Oceanfinance July 16, 2014 6:37 PM BST
When the courtsider was arrested in OZ he was part of a syndicate of ex-Betfair staff. So maybe it is them. I suppose they would be very sophisticated.
Report mxrmaster July 16, 2014 7:02 PM BST
Some syndicate involved for sure with perfect odds modeling and fastest feeds, maybe they are in some relation with betfair. but also I spotted that sometimes someone place bets without 5 sec delay which is other story
Report bb66 July 16, 2014 8:37 PM BST
it's even worse on purple, as there is noone else Cry
Report YOMOMMA July 16, 2014 8:48 PM BST
Have you tried matchbook. Be careful they charge 1% on each bet win or lose and not per market.
Report edy July 16, 2014 10:14 PM BST
You can also have a look at smarkets as well and see if maybe you can do some of your stuff on there. Pre-match it is more or less a direct clone of BF with lower sums (though on Tomic-Falla it currently has more available at best odds). In-Play it is more or less the same situation, but not all markets are seeded. Sometimes he'll start seeding somewhere during the match, sometimes not at all (most main draw ATP matches should be seeded from the start from what I've seen so far, but I can't promise that they always will be)

If BF is down, then it is just about dead. Really and seriously dead...from what I remember anyway.

2% flat commission on every market, no reduction possible. Used to allow you like one free withdrawal, then charge, but are currently running a trial until some time in the fall of allowing as many free withdrawals as you wish (except for non-UK bank transfers)

Settling definitely takes longer than at both BF and purple. It can be hours at times sadly. Said it's all settled automatically (though if you nag them enough they might settle manually) and if it takes longer it's because of their feed provider. Boy does their feed provider suck at times.

Currently you also can't change stake/odds once your bet has been submitted and I also don't think there's a trading tool available (I guess the market seeder(s) wrote something himself). So to do change bets you have to manually cancel your previous one and resubmit your new one. Talked to them recently and they told me they hope to re-add the feature. Who knows when or if they'll do that though....

One curious thing about laying with them: On purple and bf if you click lay 1.5 and type in 100, then your liability is 50 and your potential win is 100. On smarkets you would enter 50 for the same result (i.e even if you lay you enter your wanted liability, rather than what you want to win like with BF)

Another difference. If the price changes and you get matched at a better price. On BF and purple your stake will stay the same, but your potential win rises. On smarkets your stake is reduced, while your potential win stays the same.

In-Play delay is also sadly longer....

But hey, 2% commission and they don't throw us out (just yet.....)
Report mxrmaster July 16, 2014 10:30 PM BST
Not tried other exchanges due to low liquidity, but I will consider. Edy, do you control markets on other sports or only tennis? Do you use other exchanges?  Matchbook and smarkets don't offer API software I think.
Report edy July 16, 2014 10:34 PM BST
I don't control any markets. None. The other folks were simply joking.

I also don't know who does, sorry. That smarkets comments was mainly targeted at bb66 too as bf recently stopped taking customers from his country, but anyone is welcome there I'm sure...

Whoever it is isn't betting off quick pictures, they are getting the scores quickly from the umpires pda and then letting their bot work off that feed.  So one person could monitor plenty of matches

You can see that when a goal is incorrectly awarded in some football matches. The market reacts fully on some occasions, with market seeders putting money in, only for the goal to be ruled out or never even given - despite pictures being available.

Report Oceanfinance July 18, 2014 5:25 PM BST
If you're right about the umpire-bot situation - which makes total sense - how comes you can't even beat them when anticipating the point using fast pics? Umpire/bot is a real game killer though and anti-liquidity in my opinion.
Report DStyle July 18, 2014 5:38 PM BST
every possibility that whomever it is, is using numerous sources.

for televised matches they no doubt have their Daniel Dobsons, for non televised they are somehow getting a score feed way before it gets to enetpulse .
Report Darlo Bantam July 18, 2014 6:57 PM BST
Whoever it is pay Premium Charge, so BF won't care.
Report Oceanfinance July 18, 2014 8:09 PM BST
Ultra-sophisticated players picking off all the mug money while anyone remotely clued up takes a step back is not good for Betfair, premium charge or not.
Report DonNo1 July 18, 2014 9:19 PM BST
You can sometimes oceanfinance, it all depends on the feed speed.  Sometimes he's a few seconds ahead, sometimes only just and sometimes he's actually behind though that's a rarity as a lot of the feeds have been taken over by somebody processing them slower than used to be
Report mxrmaster July 19, 2014 12:20 AM BST
I will not be surprised if enetpulse with their direct feeds manage all markets
Report Darlo Bantam July 19, 2014 1:57 AM BST
I would. That Gasquet match earlier on, at times and practically from Estrella breaking, had nobody in control.
Report mxrmaster July 19, 2014 6:22 PM BST
you didn't spot the bot here because there was bigger amount of money on market, and bot with 1000-1200 Eur bets can't control all that money. he is on markets most of times.
Report Darlo Bantam July 19, 2014 11:15 PM BST
And now a complete lack of control on another Estrella match.
