Given her record at wimbledon 25s does seem overpriced. Obviously I will trade out at the semi-final stage if all goes to plan.

I appreciate many things about the lovely Sabine Love

Sabine through to round 3 where she will meet Ana Ivanovic. A mouth watering prospect.

Yes, nice to see someone smile & enjoy their sport

Ana is a big favorite for Saturday's clash @ 1.54. (Sabine @ 2.82) I think this match rests on Sabine's serve which needs to improve a bit. Sabine still available @ 25s in the overall market. That price will crash if she pulls off a shock on Saturday.

Ivanovic last 6 years at Wimbledon, reached the 4th round twice, out by the 3rd round other four

Lisicki, last 4 attempts, QF-SF-QF-Final

One player is 1.55..... the other 2.78. Betting all wrong here imo, Ivanovic hates Wimbledon, Lisicki's only tournament of the year
Report fencebuilder June 27, 2014 4:01 PM BST
Agree Pedro. You would have to be mad to back Ana at those odds.
Report bb66 June 27, 2014 4:15 PM BST
Ana winning her 1st tournie on grass in prep, best form probably since her RG win, while Lisicki has an awful season with injuries and other problems (not to mention how mad you must be to chose Pocher as boy friend)
Report fencebuilder June 27, 2014 4:20 PM BST
Oh I agree she's as mad as a box of frogs, but very dangerous at Wimbledon.
Report bb66 June 27, 2014 8:34 PM BST
no doubt this match should have been scheduled on ccSad

Don't fret. At least it's on No1 court.

It's based on form though. Judging Ivanovic's Wimbledon form is tough because she is overall playing better than all those previous years.

Lisicki's form is non-existent. Yes it's often been like this, but this year it has been even worse than normal.

I still think Ivanovic is average on grass. Lisicki can take her, but Lisicki really hasn't looked that good in the first 2 rounds.

If there is any value it probably does lie with Lisicki. Think I'll wait to see how it starts first though.

When is Lisicki supposed to be playing this match today or tomorrow?
Report fencebuilder June 28, 2014 5:12 PM BST
Depends on the rain situation.
Report fencebuilder June 28, 2014 5:13 PM BST
Definately not tomorrow but could be Monday

Lisicki's thighs....wow Love
Report fencebuilder June 28, 2014 9:31 PM BST
I know, they're awesome.

Shame the players had to come off for bad light. Still my overall bet lives on until Monday and this half of the draw is now slightly easier with Serena's exit today.
Report fencebuilder June 30, 2014 3:37 PM BST
Go Sabine. Hit Ana with some bullets in that final set. Playing again tomorrow. The dream lives on.
Report metaphor June 30, 2014 3:41 PM BST
really like lisicki... cute girl bit mental always smiling... what's not to love? Love
Report pedrobob June 30, 2014 3:56 PM BST
great final set from Lisicki, virtually unstoppable on grass when she holds it together.

Womens standard improving fast imo, any of the top half of the draw could win this, Sharapova, Bouchard, Lisicki, Halep, the Czech girl, Strycova, who knocked out Wozniacki this morning would not be a complete shock, has a good grass game.

But go Sabine, would be great to see her get compensation for 2013
Report dlarssonf June 30, 2014 3:57 PM BST
Strycova would be one of the biggest shocks ever if she won wimbledon... hopefully somebody will knock out the german ball basher soonGrin
Report pedrobob June 30, 2014 4:05 PM BST
Sabine doesn't need anyone to knock her out, can self-combust at any moment Cry

But if holds her nerve, can beat anyone on grass
Report stroodle July 1, 2014 12:45 PM BST
Lisicki seems to play in spurts, sometimes unstoppable then eratic. Definitely a contender if keeping herself from the sudden drops in matches
Report high_lander July 1, 2014 12:46 PM BST
Sabine can beat anyone on grass but tends to get too emotional when the stakes are high. In last years final she wanted to win too much imo. She was actually in tears during the match at one point. If she can keep her emotions in check, she could win Wimbledon.
Report stroodle July 1, 2014 12:51 PM BST
Let's hope she has the same attitude in the 3rd set like yesterday Love

That's got to hurt shvedova. I doubt she'll recover mentally from that one.

Be interesting to hear the interview with Lisicki how bad shoulder has been in this match, plenty double faults and timid serving sometimes
Report wooky July 1, 2014 1:44 PM BST
cheatsicki
Report stroodle July 1, 2014 1:45 PM BST
The Queen of wimbledon manages to play through injury to victory Love Think she will have to give up her serve in future matches, as its hampering her title bid.
Report fencebuilder July 1, 2014 1:51 PM BST
20 double faults and she still finds a way to win. If she serves like that against Halep she'll be blown off court.
Report stroodle July 1, 2014 2:52 PM BST
Did anyone see the interview with Sabine yet about injury ?

Report fencebuilder July 2, 2014 1:11 PM BST
You could tell from yesterday's match that all was not ok with Lisicki. The market this morning got it dead right when she drifted out to 19s for the overall. Nevermind there's always next year.
Report bb66 July 2, 2014 2:01 PM BST
might be unseeded next year, 17-32 at best

Report fencebuilder July 2, 2014 3:37 PM BST
No. No tears today. I don't think she expected to win.
Report Journeyman July 2, 2014 5:43 PM BST
I think she might do a Goran.

i.e. Manage a couple more runs to the final (bottling each one), making no impression on the other slams, drifting into wild card territory and finally nailing one Wimbledon just before she turns 30.
Report dlarssonf July 2, 2014 5:59 PM BST
will never win a slam
Report pedrobob July 2, 2014 9:23 PM BST
she needs a new coach to sort her head out. I would happily make myself available.....
Report bb66 July 3, 2014 8:49 AM BST
seems to be the body as well as her head
Report johnnyrant July 3, 2014 9:06 AM BST
Sad capitulation. Halep was there for the taking. Lisicki seemed to be fraught with nerves, very neurotic the way she played. All it needed was a bit more patience and composure.
