I think that if you reach a particular stage and still have picks left then you have done better than someone who has reached that stage and don't have any picks left, because you have used fewer of the best-performing players to get there.

If everyone has made exactly the same number of correct picks, they have done as well as each other.
Not to mention there is nothing in the rules that stipulates I would be out if such a situation arose, we can't be making rules up as we go along to suit

Think i prefer the other competition where you select winners and stake from every match
