The Rules
1. Pick a player to win each day of the tournament - only the day they are originally scheduled counts.
2. You can only pick each player once so be wise in your choices
3. If you pick a player who loses you're out
4. Walkovers - you must pick another player, retirements stand as per betfail rules of 1 set

it's still impossible for me to complete this I think, despite having four players left to pick from

not sure what to do
Report edy June 3, 2014 2:12 AM BST
Completing is impossible from what I can see, so forget about that. This is just about surviving the longest now.

Pick someone you have left and trust and hope Bouchard beats CSN (the only player Bond can pick today)

If CSN and the player you chose both win, it will all come down to the Kunetsova-Halep match. That will decide the victor (or at worst result in a tie if you choose Kuznetsova). Neither of you have Errani or Petkovic left.
Report caramba June 3, 2014 2:14 AM BST

thanks, I figured all this out myself though Silly

caramba, personally I do think these suicide comps are about trying to get to the end, that's what I play for anyway ... and if you get to the end then you automatically win (perhaps jointly)

Report edy June 3, 2014 2:53 AM BST
If you want to do that you'll have to stricly pick from sections each day, which makes it much, much harder to even get to the 2nd week I'd

Nobody says you're a mug who makes massive losses. I for one think you have very decent knowledge and just hope or assume you also turn that into quite a decent profit.

As hard as it is to admit for me, but you're good when it comes to tennis, and the others have known for a long time as well, even if they also have a hard time to admit it.

So no need to rub it in for them all the time. Let's be frank here: with them being here and spending so much time on this forum, they're most likely off bad enough as it is and in reality quite poor souls.

Wanna hear how poor? Many moons ago I had a teacher tell me to stand in front of a mirror and tell myself suportative and ego-boosting things like 'You are awesome! There's no need to be so insecure. The others do not solely exist to critisize you and make fun of you.'....Plain I didn't do it at that time because it sounded horribly silly as a kid (and indeed quite embarrassing as he hadn't told me one on one), but nowadays I throw in such sessions (not in front of a mirror though) from time to time. From what I hear on commentary and read on MTF, e.g even the great Nadal has had a similar approach (while in front of the mirror) before matches basically his entire career.

Anyway, fast forward a few years and here I am now without the urgent need to constantly measure my dick and get regular approval (though I have to admit it is of course very nice if it comes my way. I just don't feel like I constantly need to prove myself to feel good about myself as a person) from a crowd of likely above average fat (on one extreme, the other part is likely way too skinny), quite some ways below average intelligence (of course there are exceptions) and miles below average income.

edy - you're awesome! and it is a true story 'cos someone told my sister to do it. I only found out because she took it to an extreme and wrote on postits stuff like 'I'm gorgeous', 'anyone would be lucky to date me' etc etc!

I also lost on day 4 but I don't think I would have lasted long anyway since I picked Muguruza and Safarova early who both made it further than I had expected so I would likely have run out of good options at some point.

Report bb66 June 3, 2014 4:06 PM BST
if you try to see it from an objective POV all picks from Makarova onwards were quite obvious saving Halep and Shazza as long as possible
Report bb66 June 3, 2014 4:11 PM BST
I picked Safarova in rd 1 as the choice between her and Makarova thinking the latter would be the more save pick in rd 2. Same reasoning for Kerber in rd 3, as it was obvious she wouldn't be a save pick in rd 4 compared to Muguruza.

if there were more people left in or perhaps just a different person to Bond left in, I would have gone with Genie today to at least (hopefully) get to the final (and then be left with nothing to pick)
