ferru is done, gasgay to win in 4...
By:
H2H they've played twenty sets, of which Gasquet has won two. I admire your optimism.
By:
i say ferru is done, see the one of last year and the one of this year. The same happened to fedex,ue's raised and closing points not taken. Not the same ferru, he's there thnx his physical performance.
By:
Gasquet's best chance in a long time to get another win over him
By:
Ferrer is most definitely vulnerable, really should have lost to an off-form Tipsy if he wasn't a choker. I mean remember this is the guy who lost sets to Bautista-Agut and Kukushkin
By:
ferrer is definitely starting to make more errors but needs a gutsy player to beat him , gasman has been better than he has been in a long time, had a good win over berdych before the summer on hards and did well to get past Raonic in last round, fancy gasman, that record gotta start changing at some stage
By:
Tempted to lay Ferrer 3-0 ... Think Gasquet will win one set
By:
My money on comedy Dave. Dick Gasguet eat too much Pepsi, (sniff sniff)
By:
THE 2004 MIXED DOUBLES GRAND SLAM CHAMPION AGAINST THE SPANISH HAMSTER. FERRER HAS BEEN UTTER TRIPE THIS TOURNAMENT AND ONLY GOT THROUGH COS OF HIS ABILITY TO CHASE EVERY BALL AND KEEPING IT IN PLAY. GAS MAN CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS BUT UNFORTUNATELY YOU CANT IGNORE THE 8-1 H2H RECORD
SEEMS LIKE A STRAIGHT FORWARD WIN FOR FERRET BUT HOPING FOR FERRER TO HIT BETTER ODDS. |
By:
Gasquet still not willing of changing his tactics of playing 15ft behind the baseline against Ferrer after so many miserably failed attempts, eh?
By:
Decent start from Gasquet. IMO this is all about Ferrer. Gas can't win this by himself, but Ferrer can lose it if he plays like he has over the last weeks.
By:
9 matches, all have been straight set affairs. Gasquet hasn't won a set since 2008.

By:
it's working
By:
Good odds for comedy Dave
By:
Come on Ferrer what is this
By:
utter rubbish come on ferrer what is this
By:
Gas 4-1, winning some long rallies. Interesting start.
By:
Comedy Dave dictating, but hitting balls straight to Ringo
By:
Gotta get the impression Taylor Dent has never seen these two play. Gasquet is doing absolutely nothing different from usual, Ferrer is just stinking it up so far.
By:
It's Skinner on commentary, right? Didn't know he did ATP.
By:
yes, Skinner and Taylor Dent
By:
It's so strange not hearing him plug wtatennis.com during every changeover.
By:
nice backhand winner
By:
Dis like WWE tennis. Comedy Dave jobbing for Dickie Pep
By:
market expecting a turn around in ferrers play
By:
this market is full of berdych backers from last night playing chase
By:
poor from ferrer but I think he can out play Gasquet in this one in the long run
By:
I'm very rarely super critical of commentators, but these two are making it sound like Gasquet is usually standing right on the baseline bashing winners left, right and center.
By:
Eurosport comms?
By:
no, Skinner and Dent
By:
Ringo swipe backhand like John Inman
By:
complete rubbish from ferrer he can't allow gasquet to beat him at his own game
By:
Is it Wilander and Fred somebody on Europort?
By:
and ffs Dent, Ferrer didn't dominate this match up because Gasquet hits too many errors. He has because Gasquet is playing from 10ft behind the baseline and lets Ferrer move him around and out of court whichever way he likes. The same thing that Gasquet is doing again today, just that Ferrer has been crap.
By:
The way to hurt Ferrer is to hit deep, within maybe 5 ft of the line. ATM Ferrer is just poor and missing, but see what happens when Gas gets a ball really deep, it jams Ferrer up.
By:
If ferrer can step it up to usual standards he wins this
By:
Gasquet has never lost a QF in a slam.
By:
NO worry guys.
Ringo cannot red line for much longer! |
