This is back once more Excited

Usual rules;

pick a different player every day - you can only pick them once, so be sensible
if walkover or retirement before one set then re-pick
if your match is delayed due to rain - your pick rolls over, e.g. picking a player to win on day 2, if they don't play til day 3 you must still pick a winner for day 3.
Only matches SCHEDULED for the relevant day can be picked. - e.g. a Tuesday match delayed to Wednesday cannot be picked on Wednesday

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patronymic#Russian

In Russia, the patronymic is an official part of the name, used in all official documents, and when addressing somebody both formally and among friends. A Russian will rarely formally address a person named Mikhail simply as 'Mikhail', but rather as 'Mikhail' followed by his patronymic (i.e. 'Mikhail Nikolayevich' or 'Mikhail Sergeyevich' etc.).

aaronh, what happens when on a certain day

- one suicide pool competitior cannot make a pick (since he has already 'used' all remaining players scheduled for said day) thus losing by default even before the round starts(?),
- the other competitor can make a pick, but the selected player later loses?

Who is the winner - both or the second competitor?
Report aaronh September 3, 2013 1:51 PM BST
i would say both

for the reason that you would both be out on the same day
Report wisewords September 3, 2013 1:57 PM BST
I would argue the person who had a player left to pick should win. He played the shrewder tournament and used superior strategy. When you hav no players left to pick, you lose on the spot imo.
Report aaronh September 3, 2013 1:59 PM BST
hmm Plain
Report wisewords September 3, 2013 2:05 PM BST
Because you should be strategising your picks so that you have a player to pick on each day of the whole tournament. I wonder what others think?

Report LernhardBanger September 3, 2013 2:55 PM BST
Thought I had this one to be honest, but was never confident in picking Federer.

As for the rules, I think it doesnt matter if you have a possible pick or not, what matters is how many wins you get.

GL both remaining!

Report bb66 September 3, 2013 5:20 PM BST
you'll probably win it anyway, if we don't finish on equal terms today my pick for Wed must be Gasgay, would have preferred to have Raonic at this stageSad
Report aaronh September 3, 2013 5:37 PM BST

Report mouse trap September 3, 2013 5:47 PM BST
I think we are much closer than the odds suggest to joint finish today alerady aaronh Blush
At the same time, I think it would be against the spirit of the competition to go with Novak or Andy at this stage...
