Do you think Murrays seemed lack of interest in the Masters 1000 tournaments before slams has helped keep him fresh for the 2nd week and is part of the reason for his improvement in that area?
For the past 18 months Murray has used the Masters 1000 events almost like a practice session even Miami which he won he didn't play well, it seems his best tennis only comes out in the slams now whilst guys like Djokovic and Rafa are racking up more wear and tear week to week.
I predict Murray will lose early at Cincy, look like he's off form and drift then get to the US Open and hit top form and be in the final.

Murray will want a few more matches in Cinncy so expect a bit more effort
he clearly tanked today, once he failed to covert 2 break points at 3-3 first set he could not be bothered. Minor rally second set just to confirm he could if he wanted has tobe remembered this is the first event of a long stretch Montreal Cinncinnatti USO Davis Cup Thailand Tokyo Shanghai all in the next 2 months anyway, tank strategy here to stay it seems |

murray beat federer for the first time in his career in 2006 (as a teenager in Fed's absolute pomp). Roger however was pissing about testing out a differnt fh grip with the deliberate intention of keeping his powder dry go deep next week presumably. |

yes he will want to test out some aggressive stuff so expect a QF run at least. Also, has to be noted that he is always scheduled to play in the hottest part of the day on the US hardcourt swing, for the benefit of the TV in the UK, so he may well not want to play more matches in the heat than he needs. Almost never gets an evening match
it was obvious from the first point today that he was not bothered, was actually running backwards when hitting the forehand really funny on Twitter if you search Andy Murray then number of people who think that was the real Murray today and gloating calling a loser. Idiots |

if you're gonner tank a tourney, its a bit suspect to tank two in quick succession for a player of his quality on his favourite surface
he would have been more likely to tank one of the two and the likely one being cinci so he can get proper rest before the us, theres no real logic to tanking this one early |

who knows with him, maybe having decided to play doubles at the last minute (not part of the plan) he sees that as a way to get court time

judorick is always knocking both robson and murray last week he completely made up that laura was out at 3am, he saw all the pics, theey wre nowheere, not on twitter, not on instagram, not on facebook, and he completely went to town on muray prior to wimbledon, and he then wins wimbledon makes out he likes thme both and wants them to do well, but does nothing but slag them off  |

I HAVE predicted he would lose early. No of becuase I thought he wpuld've tanked, but because his W title is too easy to beleiev it truth!??
Beating Djoker in Gs final in straights?? ...makes me laugh. Last time and ONLY TIME that happened was in 2007 (USO against federer, even then he got 7 set points!!), while Djoker was 19. Expect of Murr to go out early in USO too. |
