there are more foolish things to do than never betting on matches involving last week's tournament finalists or those who have played DC/FC the preceding weekend. top seeds in the last round of qualies is another one.

sure you might see some value but they are mired with questions about the players' motivation and intensity.

pretend you're steve waugh putting away the hook, still lots of other areas to score.

Indeed, but he could have retired in the first set, why complete it when he has no intention of starting the second set, that's my issue:(!!!

How do you know what his intentions were at 5-2?

Just a note: not the first time he's done this crap.  Same thing happened in the 1st round of the Vienna 250 event a couple years ago. The guy was in great form after being on a longer winning streak, played a solid 1st set, then just called it a match out of the blue at the start of the 2nd.  Got screwed big time there.  Too bad I didn't use that tough learning experiance here

What are the rules regarding retirements on set betting a betting on a match winner?  I googled it to no avail.

What are the rules regarding retirements on set betting and just betting on a match winner?  I googled it to no avail.

if you have a problem with this, you should try another bookmaker with different betting rules.
