That pre match drift would indicate that perhaps something was wrong with Verdasco. Not an injury necessarily but maybe some sort of gastro, he certainly played well below his best level.

Prematch drifts happen all the time though. Just because it went the "right" way this time doesn't mean it was justified.
Isner wants out! He doesn't want another game after this, that's for sure
