 not even them aaron she left OZ when she was 18 monthsthe Singaporeans had her for 4 and half years and then she left at 6, maybe they should take the credit, the Singaporeans are world renowned for their tennis academy randle get a handle on facts before you fish  |

They are ranked about 200 in the world, they are not prospects and unlikely to ever compete meaningfully in grand slams. No reason to think they are not nice girls, but it is an embarassment the amount of column inches they received. Robson looks a genuine prospect to me and is only 19. Murray of course is top notch, I will follow their careers keenly. Generally I believe that tennis in UK gets far more public support than it deserves, largely because of Wimbledon. I am not a natural cynic regards British sport, but Why are the LTA so sh1t? Genuine question, sure many on here no far more than me on the sport. Look at the number of top notch golfers we have produced in the last 30 years, why no tennis players until Murray who didnt use the LTA.

Keothavong and Baltacha have never really received a great deal of hype or column inches. they are/were average at best and were the best we had for a long time. Before Baltacha made top 50, who was the last before that

Dont know about the others, but Robson is english ffs. Have you heard her speak? Two of my sisters were born in aus, try telling them theyre not english and you wont get much change.

Australians, British, Germans, even Frenchies are all just apes that one day learned to stand upright (more or less looking at the general public these days) and can use their front limbs to type nonsense on computers.

Watson and Moore both worked with Bollitieri (sp), so that's probably why they are decent prospects

I remember an article in the paper a few years back on how Watson only had to win two more games to qualify for the main draw of the french open. Wtf? Baltacha and keothovong seemed to be getting hyped up cos they just squeezed into the top 50 or 100 or whatever, and they werent you g when they did it. Robson is 19 and 38 in the world, surely higher after wimbledon. And she did win wimbledon juniors at age 14 which added to her publicity.

At least Robson speaks with an English accent.
I could except her to be British if one her parents were the same.....but they are both Aussies. Suppose this is how sport is going.....English cricket...South Africans,Irish,Welsh etc etc. British Athletics...Americans etc etc. |
