agree. could be an upset here. feli very solid, doesnt hit too many UEs and his serve is top3. although i noticed haas is playing with a dampener in wimbledon, which he has never done in his whole career. maybe he is feeling a little pain?!?
Report northanlite June 29, 2013 9:21 AM BST
tommy just had a couple of hours knock up yesterday. lopez is a very decent grass courter but tommy has a touch of class that FL doesn't.
lopez did well winning eastbourne but was against a very moderate field so does that really put him in "the form of his life?"

should be a good game tho & my wife is really looking forward to it, which is strange as she isn't usually a big tennis fan
Report stu June 29, 2013 9:50 AM BST
amazing that Haas playing so well at 35, when they're saying age is problem for Fed at several years younger.
Report AdvantageAussie June 29, 2013 9:50 AM BST
6-3, 6-2, 7-5 on a cold drizzly English summers day surely isn't going to affect Haas too much today? I hardly think he would have worked up a sweat until the third set.

I'm also not a fan of Lopez who always seemed to me to be more concerned with how he looked rather than the results he achieved.

But on the other side of the coin, Lopez is a 3 times quarter finalist here with good recent form and at odds of 2-1 maybe value to those who fancy him.

But not for me.

Suppose we can use this as a match thread.

Anyone see anything wrong with Haas, odds on Lopez after first set seem a bit short??
Report pandora1963 June 29, 2013 4:57 PM BST
tommy haas wins,stronger player
Report MiltonF June 29, 2013 5:02 PM BST
Lopez is as soft as shyte
Report GWB_III June 29, 2013 5:10 PM BST
Haas is in the form of his life. Lopez had a decent week, and with the serve and volleying skills is always dangerous. But Haas is a very special player.
Report GWB_III June 29, 2013 5:13 PM BST
Double-break for Haas. C'mon!
Report hollly June 29, 2013 5:14 PM BST
guys i think lopez has an injury to the shoulder...
Report GWB_III June 29, 2013 5:16 PM BST
Lopez gets one back.
Report GWB_III June 29, 2013 5:18 PM BST
Don't see any evidence of a shoulder injury. Serving bombs.
Report The Bhoys June 29, 2013 5:19 PM BST
his serve not that good
Report shiraz June 29, 2013 5:21 PM BST
hollly, presumably you mean the left shoulder, what makes you think that?
Report hollly June 29, 2013 5:22 PM BST
yes now yes...but there were moments that lopez moved around his shoulder..only the time can say it :-)
Report hollly June 29, 2013 5:23 PM BST
yes the left shoulder
Report GWB_III June 29, 2013 5:24 PM BST
He's left-handed... Haas is certainly much better now.
Report hollly June 29, 2013 5:25 PM BST
it's only my opinion, so i backed haas...for me this third set is the more important
Report shiraz June 29, 2013 5:25 PM BST
Have'nt noticed it, but the market is pretty short on Haas now so maybe a little bit of the price is because of that?
Report hollly June 29, 2013 5:26 PM BST
yes i know that he is left handed :-)
Report hollly June 29, 2013 5:28 PM BST
i don't know it's only my sensation
Report GWB_III June 29, 2013 5:28 PM BST
7/9 games for Haas. Lopez had trouble with his wrist earlier this year.
Report ;[p June 29, 2013 5:28 PM BST
tommy 2-0 over novak ob grass,i wouderif people do realise that
Report shiraz June 29, 2013 5:29 PM BST
OK, I would have Haas' "correct" price at 1.15/1.16 if he wins this set, see how it goes (by correct price I mean a price that I would not lay or back)
Report hollly June 29, 2013 5:31 PM BST
by the way haas now has improved his game wonderfully
Report GWB_III June 29, 2013 5:33 PM BST
So much pressure from Haas.
Report GWB_III June 29, 2013 5:45 PM BST
This is world-class from Haas. This is easily good enough to compete with Djok and Murray.
Report ;[p June 29, 2013 5:50 PM BST
dont know why people sticking djok in final straight away, haas 2-0 on grass last two matches one easy win on hard and close 3 set loss on clay
Report GWB_III June 29, 2013 5:53 PM BST
Yeah, I have Haas outright at 180's average. Not sure if I let it ride or not.
Report GWB_III June 29, 2013 5:56 PM BST
Lopez hasn't gotten past 15 on the Haas serve since set 1.
Report hollly June 29, 2013 6:15 PM BST
from 0-40 to win the game...amazing :-)

Report northanlite June 29, 2013 6:50 PM BST
so good to see tommy having an indian summer. injury robbed him of at least one slam and a long time as a top 5 player imo. he could have been feds big challenger for a few years
