They will seed them as rankings state, unless there a player has been out injured and their grass court performances over two years deserve an increased seeding.

What Sora said is somewhat nonsense.

It is only (partly) true for the women. The seeding committee deserves the right for itself to adjust seeds as they deem fit on the women's side. Doesn't matter if the player they want to give a (higher) seed did awesome things on grass within the last two years though. A player doesn't have to have been injured either, but that's the usual reason. Seeds on the women's side are rarely ever adjusted though.

For the men it doesn't matter whether a player was injured or not. They take a strict formula that takes grass court performance into account and apply this to EVERYONE in the top32 of the entry list (so it's strictly an adjustment of seeds. No normally unseeded player can get a seed, unlike with the women where e.g a 60 something ranked Sharapova got the 24th seed in 2009), no matter if any of the men was injured or not. That formula dictates them to take the last ranking points prior to Wimbledon. First you add 100% of the points earned within the last 12 months, and then add 75% of the points from only the BEST grass court tournament from the 12 months before that.

That's why everyone can calculate the men's seeds himself before they are announced.

Any reason why they have one procedure for the men and another for the women? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Troll. I've told you before. Before you start arguing with me about rules, do yourself a service and either read the rulebooks yourself or try to educate yourself through other means. You're just making yourself look like an utter clown by insisting on being right despite having spouted nonsense and misinformation yet again.

I just can't stand people spreading misinformation and lies. Sorry for that. I'm a horrible person.

Feel free to prove me wrong about the seeding at Wimbledon. Surely your version has to be stated somewhere. Wimbledon people are very organized.

Actually I decided to be nice and save you the work (as you won't find it anyway)

HOW THE SEEDINGS WORK

MEN
The seeds are the top 32 players on the ATP Entry System Position (ESP), BUT then rearranged on a surface-based system. Since 2002 a seeding committee has not been required for the Gentlemen’s Singles following an agreement made with the ATP. The seeding order is determined using an objective and transparent system to reflect more accurately an individual player’s grass court achievements: The formula is:

Take ESP points at 18 June 2012
Add 100% points earned for all grass court tournaments in the past 12 months
Add 75% points earned for the best grass court tournament in the 12 months before that.
LADIES
The seeding order follows the WTA ranking list, except where in the opinion of the committee, a change is necessary to produce a balanced draw.

Want to apologize to me yet?

....yes, jeez. Be a fool and ignore everyone you could actually learn from (I know **** about betting, but I do know players and rules). I know you already chose to do that with a number of other people who, had you taken their advice, would've made you a far smarter, probably more successful bettor. I don't want to call you a fool, but you are one heck of a stubborn fool that's caught in his own arrogance, unable to accept being wrong it seems.

Really...don't tell me to grow up if you first and foremost have plenty of maturing up to do.

Just a very small correction of my first post before robbot comes back.

First you add 100% of the points earned within the last 12 months

should obviously read

First you add 100% of the points earned on grass within the last 12 months

....Sorry if that caused any confusion, but I'm sure most of the people reading this were able to tell that I simply forgot those two words there. Especially as the next sentence mentions grass points and because just doubling all of everyone' normal ranking points would make zero sense anyway.

Sorry again

I didn't try to drive any serbian customers off the forum. Are you honestly that desperate and hateful to bend the truth to such extremes? Poor stuff, mate.

I know who he is talking about, aaronh. Guy's name was pipita. Insulted everyone from former yugoslavia, especially croats like Marin in the worst possible way (for no other reason than being a croat). I joined a conversation where Marin talked back, mentioned that serbians have ALSO (just like the others, not exclusively) committed war crimes in the early 90s and pipita completely flipped. He was around a few more days, then disappeared and Sora of course thinks it's because of us being bad evil bullies instead of him simply running out of money.

I'd show you the thread but I think it has been deleted because of the heavy insults and words that were thrown around almost exclusively by said pipita.
