They could find a couple of 18-20 year olds at a local tennis club to replace trees like Gicquel and Serra.  It would make things more interesting than watching some guy who's just there to pick up a first round cheque.

Tomorrow's order of play becomes a mess once they add these matches to be finished to the order of play.

Wawrinka just squeezed in the win, hopefully Paire will hold and then end of play, we shall see.

That honestly sounds like a great idea.  Just one or two slots reserved for the best young amateur players in the region.  Sure they will probably go down 6-0 6-1 6-0 (or someone with a big serve could hold a couple more games on a faster surface) but imagine if they got drawn against a top 10 player.  The crowd would love it, they'll be cheering for every point they won.  Far more interesting to watch than a FINNISHED journeyman get routined.

but if they get thrased straight sets 6-1 6-0 6-0 would be pretty crap for them

They can do whatever they feel for, but normally I would assume a bit common sense is used.

They will only call play off mid game if it is due to rain.

unless it really is unplayable they generally stop at end of game/set
