I thought the same thing before the match vs Goffin he really didn't have much time to go to monaco - Nice airport has no direct line from north america as far as I know and it worked for the first set but Almagro should be fresh enough today.

I don't see how Almagro needs a break. He had plenty of rest between Miami and Houston and only played 9 sets last week. Apparently he's pretty good at passing out into a deep sleep whenever he wants (he sleeps in the locker room before matches) so he won't be jet lagged and he's been here a couple of days now. He'll be fine. This tournament is a good opportunity to pick up some points after a pretty early exit last year.

He doesn't exactly need to travel with some regular airlines. He has money and the price he could earn here is worth

And mugzer can beat anybody, he beat mugro here as well already. Mudro serve is great but melzer is also great returner

Agree smb almagro wants to and also needs to improve his masters points if he wants to be a top10 over the next 5 years and he can do it possibly. Anyway I remember melzer playing a great tournament here 2010 or 2011 so a small fun bet on melzer for me.

Mugzer doesn't care what mugro wants. Two mugs of the top playing and one is 1.18. That's funny.we all know how those matches can go

Melzer can motivate himself against top ranked players, but he underperformances against other low rated mugs.

It was bizarre because Mugro didn't even try to smash but just turned his back and pushed it back into court as though he didn't care at all.

yeah but  on the top of that melzer played with left hand according to commie so the bizzareness was whole thing including using the left hand

I had no bet, but as a compatriot of Mugzer, who had shown nothing so far this year on clay and cost me in DC I wasn't expecting this, his win there was in his prime year 2011, he's far from that form. It was for a reason that noone had tipped Mugzer in competition
