Haas had what very few women players have, if any, and what few male players have. Mental fortitude to push on when he was in dreamland.
exactly what got him the win. had he had average mental strength of an atp player, i am sure djoko would havecome back and won

This is exactly why though I heavily disagree with this idea that Maria Sharapova is some mental giant. She has completely folded here, yet TV always tell us there's no1 mentally tougher.
probably cos of all the on-court antics. screaming etc

wonder how maria takes this. on the one hand she won her first set against serena in five years, on the other hand she's about to lose ten games in a row.
It's gotta be tough to take. You'd have to be pretty strong to try and spin this into a positive now despite taking a set. It would be easy if the 3rd set was 6-4 to take positives. But the positives now seem few and far between.

Thx, but I read in the thread 4-6 2-0 and thought Serena went 2-0 up in the second?? Shara was 6-4 2-0??? Has she been traded at 1,25?? Greets
4-6 2-0 to 4-6 2-3* to 4-6 6-3 6-0
