she probably will, but once again she`s dozed off in a set to an opponent who`s barely above challenger level, looking likely she`ll now lose the set,she simply has`nt got the nous to be a top ten player

But the secret is to not be greedy - and get out with decent profit when she is winning! Done - again!!!

Robson looks heavy legged and flat footed to me.

Robson is massively overrated.
Report Angel Gabrial March 20, 2013 9:15 PM GMT
When she is is timing the ball well she is a real power player but she is too hit and miss to hold any consistency. I was really impressed with her after the Olympics last year, but i think she is putting too much pressure on herself now.

No link for this one digme.

Just a general observation i am sure that she hasn`t changed since i last watched her.

You need more than just to be a real power player to reach the top. She is a poor womans Kvitova.

robson is a disaster should give up tennis total anti talent

you just don't get it do you!  Don't be greedy and most of these players can turn you at least £200 per day.  For me, that's fine and dandy

people expect Robson to win every match she's favourite in and with ease it seems

seethefests all the time and writing off her career
Report n88uk March 20, 2013 10:17 PM GMT
I just think she's overrated aaron. Pretty much every British journalist has her down as a multiple slam winner. I don't see her winning any. The press are desperate for her to happen big time, and I just don't think she'll ever hit the big time. Top 10 maybe, but I don't see her doing it at the very top.
Report aaronh March 20, 2013 10:23 PM GMT
do the press really have her down as a multiple slam winner or expect her to beat top players RIGHT NOW? I don't personally see it

yeah she's had some bad results, but she's only 19. right now I'm sure Sloane is the only other teenager ranked higher than her

and the press are desperate cause british tennis hasn't had someone as talented as her in a long time
Report aaronh March 20, 2013 10:25 PM GMT
infact I see it's Sloane's birthday today so Tongue Out
Report aaronh March 20, 2013 10:26 PM GMT
if Laura hits top 10 as you put maybe.. that is a great achievement
Report n88uk March 20, 2013 10:33 PM GMT
Yes they do there is that article in Daily Mail about Robson earning £20m off court if she fulfills her potential. And they think she is going to win 4-5 majors. It is ridiculous but true if you speak to British journalists. The press don't think she is going to beat top players right now, but she hasn't actually lost to any top players this year.

Robson's competition is pretty stiff when you at those ranked above her's ages and some of the talent that is coming through.

I just always see her as this sort of flashy big hitter, but you tend to need more than that at the top. She would have fared a better a few years ago when womens tennis was stuck in a real mug era, but now you look at the talent around and I can't see her ever breaking through to the very top.
Report aaronh March 20, 2013 10:38 PM GMT
key point being if she fulfills her potential

and her potential to me could be to be as good as Kvitova.

she is an attractive girl from an English speaking country. big £££ in that straight away without anything else.

if in 2-3 years she's still in this position then there is a problem
Report n88uk March 20, 2013 10:47 PM GMT
Yes but most of her potential in that sense comes from her looks and personality, which no-one doubts is a massive selling point. I also think that overrates her potential, but just my opinion. When I see her play I don't see future 4-5 grand slam winner.

Robson desperately needs to get into the top 32 tbh. The problem with the position she is ranked is it's easy to yo-yo back down to the 60s in no time at all. She has pretty much nothing to defend in coming months so she should do it. But it has to be an absolute must by USO, because otherwise your 1 draw of Serena Williams away from falling 20-30 places in the rankings. The sooner you can get seeded for grand slams the better, otherwise you are way too reliant on luck of the draw.
