Anyone knows if there are website available for tennis tips? For instance tips about injuries, journeys the players made (I have seen this once).

Thanks in advance!

reading players twitters can be quite useful

for example - although it didn't help yesterday - Mladenovic tweeted how her luggage had gone missing and she'd be arriving late into Brazil. Keothavong is a mug but had she played someone decent, a nice laying opportunity would have been available

also same thing happened to Stakhovsky. went on a big rant about Air France. turned up to venue in France like same day of match
Report booyakasha February 27, 2013 3:29 PM GMT
Laura Robson had her jewellery stolen and tweeted it, she was 1.47 against a half decent player and lost. That was a couple of weeks ago

For tipping sites, www.bettingadvice.com is ok

There is a tipster called Ben on there who has one of the best records on the whole site, seems to know his stuff

Ah thanks guys! Thats great. Once I have seen a website that showed all the players who are lightly injured, who travelled a lot etc. Sometimes odds are shifting and I am wondering about the reason.

matchstat usually has players injuries listed if it forced a withdrawal from last tournament/match

Anyone on tennisinsight.com? Found it very useful. Also my twitter anecdote involves Tipsarevic, and him suffering from jet lag, some time in the past 2 months. Anyway, I don't think he'd slept great, warned us that he'd need a heck load of coffee to survive the day, and went on to lose after starting the match as heavy favourite. I'll go find the odds...

Slight correction, opening odds were around 1.68, so not exactly a heavy fav. Still wondering if there's anything in this twitter business.

Yeah, I use TennisInsight and it is worth the small fee. The members there are extremely helpful in finding little things that could affect the match. Also, the statistics they have on the website which are only available to premium members are extremely helpful. It's strange that most of the time they can tip an outsider and win - for example yesterday Daniel Brands was tipped twice the amount of times Youzhny was at odds of over $3.00 and Brands went on to win. So yeah, worth the money if you're betting somewhat big. If anyone does decide to join you can use my referral code when registering: Matag5c91c

While the information is no secret, you're paying for a service - something that aggregates the available information into easily digestible content.

TennisInsight probably has the most detailed tennis statistics available on the web... users analyse those stats and post their opinions. Every user can analyse those stats and bet accordingly, no-one is saying you must follow the tipsters. My point is that if you're betting frequently than you want the most detailed statistics you can possibly get, and if you don't have free time than TI is a great way to get that aggregated information.

>> Champions
Champions (please email us if you have a better name) help TI with results and match statistics in order to keep the site as up to date as possible. This is particularly helpful for match stats so that a players current week averages can be displayed (see section on match stats). Champions receive 1 ace for entering a match result, 4 aces for entering match stats and 2 aces for verifying match stats submitted by another user – which helps ensure the accuracy of the data. Ideally these statistics would be provided in real time from another provider – however given the cost and integration issues we feel this is a nice solution. If you would like to be a champion user and help TI maintain the statistics then please drop us an email. Include some information about yourself and why you would make a good ‘champion’.

haha, i'm almost ready to pay them $15 :))))
Report MathewC February 28, 2013 12:08 PM GMT
The stats are fed from the ATP & WTA websites with the "Champions" just monitoring the feeds. To say that the users provide the stats is to say that the users count aces, 1st serves etc - simply not true. The stats are reliable.

Anyone who has half a tennis brain would not pay for such a service, you shouldn't being relying heavily on stats, where are your natural instincts? plus I'd be much more interested in what players are saying on twitter if you read between the lines -  than any recent stat.

those websites prey mostly on the poor people with heavy gambling issues, with this image about  becoming professional gambler in the future which is just basically feeding on addicted sick members of the community. sites with stats and tips are helpful but still just enhancing most of poor gamblers addiction . if for free,ok it have nothing with morality but if charging money is for me personally just leeching on sick people.

Assuming the two don't go hand in hand is wrong. Personally I use the stats, my own opinion and if you knew anything about the website you would see that members post Twitter status's on a daily basis plus more. Failure to see the added value in the aggregation & thinking you can find all of the information you need by yourself (and if you do this daily than you're wasting your own time) is foolish.
