This is money down the drain if you ask me. In fact, Chardy should be free money here. There is absolutely nothing at all pointing toward anything other then Chardy in 2 here.
Clay is no problem for Jeremy and I'll eat my hat if he loses to a 16 year old that's playing the 2nd ATP match of his life. This kid beat Lajovic who's only ATP match last year was in Belgrade because of a Wildcard. With the unbelievable difference of skill levels, if Chardy loses this it will only be because of a Mega-super fix, or mega-tank. |

By:
you must be missing something 'coz i saw lajovic not only in belgrade
lajovic isn't very bad mug and i wrote that it's just lucky shot. i'm not screaming that small chilean mug gonna win this just a lucky bet. not even gonna watch it |
By:
Still think it's money down the drain, but if you feel lucky I'll take your lay
By:
just checked serbian mug
i saw lajovic in 2 russian tourneys in the fall of 2011. he reached quarter-final in moscow |

Chardy opened on Pinnacle @ 1.087 and now he is 1.125...
Just sayin', someone knows something here. Kid probably has potential. |
By:
Well he's in the same side of the draw as Nadal. I'm sure the tournament organisers would love a saturday night semi - the clay court king vs the chilean star of the future

By:
I think he has lots of potencial but Chardy usually plays well here, and he's more than capable of taking this with relative ease.
By:
besides he's 16 ffs, its a child

Chardy only fixed 1 match in argentina last year. He's past that stage of his career where he needs that type of money. He just made over a hundred grand at the AO
By:
I was kidding of course ... although you never know. And I just checked - Jeremy walked away with 250k from Australia this year
By:
good reason he doesn't need this event with Nadal in it, could have won this otherwise with Monaco non contender. must be disappointing

Garin's win over Lajovic looks pretty impressive on paper though. Lajovic had some good results on clay last year and made it through qualifying at this tournament. Garin didn't drop serve once in the match!
By:
he did however almost choke serving things out both sets. Crowd helped him squeak past the BPs though

Backed the 5.5 on the draw yesterday, cheers MVG for bottling it :)

"There was a young man called Chardy
Whose bird is a twenty-stone lardy His back-hand is sh1t, but then so is her cl1t So he fcks her @rse which is quite hardy" yeah?? |
By:
There was a young Roman called Pippo,
Whose backhand gets hot like a Zippo, With a serve with less bite than a nerd in a fight, He'd be better off selling Calippo. Wrong thread? |
By:
Here we go.. who wins this.
By:
Only one winner here.
By:
looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool @ anyone backing chilean 16 year old who's just touched puberty

Whose ball-sack was totally barren He put up a fight Against a player who was sh1te But in the end came to nuthin'" |
By:
all jokes aside...why isn't he at school? this is truancy
By:
He looks older than 16 though
By:
Chardy holds his service game easily, but Garin wins the first point on his own serve and the odds are already above SP.
