Anyone think the young French girl can spring a surprise, she has looked really impressive for her age, and well coached, Kvitova is out of form, but the sponsors surely want her to make the final, so maybe not so many dodgy line calls in favour of the homey.

Just went to check it again and it seems the messages people left wishing her luck with her injury have gone.
She put a message saying "Sad but i believe in my team". People had commented about and injury but they've gone. It links you to her Facebook but its in German so i have no clue what it says.

its very rare for players to not to try defend titles,it means loads for them especially women,where they feel admired on those tournaments
its her first ever title of 2 overall, i couldnt imagine her not coming here to feel like champion, first time in her life if not injured or something

Kvitova has one game style, she doesnt change it. Thats part of the problem for her.

think you're right, DStyle - cause he also said, "It's all in your head" (meaning she should not be bullied or pulled into Kvitova's game), it was just a detail in that she actually gained a lot of points by staying in the rallies via unforced and forced errors from Kvitova...
