He's got no chance. No way will he be able to come back after 6 months or whatever it is and be able to cope with the all the running that Fed and Djok would give him.

dont thnk he would comeback not fully fit , then hungry for a win rested and fresh with all the desire and experience he will be same threat for anybody as before. so i would imagine odds will drop  if he will play his first match and will be no doubts about his appearance

Backing Nadal would be a dangerous bet, you don't know how he'll play after such a long lay off, going from the gym and treatment tables after 6 months to playing 4-5-6 hour tennis matches won't be easy, I couldn't back him with counterfeit to be honest, I think his knees have have had it, I might be wrong I do wonder how much hunger he has left.

I couldn't back Federer either, the game belongs to Djokovic and Murray nowGrin

Look ive made my point and taken 10 and 10.5 so ive put my money down but hey lets get one thing 100 pc right ! Uncle Tony is now in total control of what Rafa plays and what not ! Rafa over-ruled him over the Blue clay etc this year but after Wimbledon that changed 1
He WILL/WOULD NEVER let Rafa back to play in the Aussie if he didn't think he could win it !
Put the man down for other reasons on why you think he's not good enough but NOT on Fitness !! Whatever you hear in the media if Rafa Plays Take it he is as fit as ever Wink

im sure nadal if fit will play sparing matches with top players just before australian open, and then 4 matches till qters will be enough to get his form back. but backing him now is risky because u dont know if he will play for sure and thats why the price is like this, if there be 100% fact he is playing , price will drop

I think thats fair and of course its a balance between the odds we see now and late Dec ! I can say now that IMHO he is playing in the Aussie but just like any other player he could get injured between now and Jan

He is good enough that's not in question he's won 10 of them!, but any serious bettor/trader in their right mind would not be worth their salt if they did not question his fitness, a player whose been out since July and for the last 8 years solid on the ATP tour has covered more court than other pro player during that time,, the endless injections and putting pressure on those kness were bound to take their toll, all machines break down eventually. Besides, I'm bemused you seem to be quite in the know about how Nadal's camp is run, Nadal plays what tournies he wants, not the sort to be dictated to clearly.

Good luck but the smart money's on Murray and Djoker IVHAHO.

Well yes Rafa DID play what he wanted and it caused many rows behind the scenes and i know for a 100 pc fact that Rafas Uncle did not want him playing Madrid last year and i stick with my view that Rafa pulled back after Wimbledon and was advised to take the break then and come back fit(hopefully) for 4 years !! Whatever i say about knowing some of the ins and outs of  Rafas camp will be treated with suspicion but i can only share what i know on here because i love Tennis and Betting .Hey of course the price reflects his fitness worry and thats why i'm getting double the odds on what he would be SillySilly

I wish you luck as a fellow Londoner thenCool, it's been kind to me too and you may as well have put yourself in a good trading position considering most bookies are going 5-6/1 for Rafa and he traded here as high as 14/1 , but whether is proves value remains to be seen.Grin

I'm presuming this is an ante-post market, therefore no runner and you lose your bet? If that's the case, I don't think Nadal is value at 10s.

Nadal doesn't like blue clay I think, and being Spanish in a Spanish tournament, he probably had a hand in the decision.Devil
