As predictable as Istanbul... Sunday should have Woz Kiri easy, or Vinci will have something to say about it?...
anyways great photos coming |
By:
dont know looks quite competitive , wozzy shoud scrap throu but kir may have tough times, she is not in greatest of forms recently
By:
but what a difference ,not many big brainless ballbashers there
By:
he he was being a little cheeky, Vinci and Sushi (no not racist ffs Su-Sie) dangerous outsiders and Zheng with not much form should still see Kiri through perhaps although thought Kiri was making a final stretch at Istanbul and not expected to do much here for a while now
By:
pironkova at home although in tennis its not big advantage usually , nadia in good shape. zheng unpredictable
sushi fighter, danka unpredictable but she may be up for a fight as well, looks happy on twater to be there, vinci in great form but may be litlle down, and wozzy also picking up form |
By:
Pivu at home yes, glad you pointed that out had gone me by tbh
Zheng with recent form would surprise me to make an impression all of a sudden but wouldn't be the first time. interesting anyway might give us more interesting semis than the other day, how's the court? ![]() ![]() |
By:
Woz'group will be big battle imho, i hope *
By:
dont know about court ,didnt worked out it yet ,you just told me how groups are like tbh
i hope too,but actually i think wozzy is a banker to win it if she isnt injured or something |
By:
no eurosport!
By:
damn that is bad news matt hughes
Woz yes, but how the rest of the group pans out will be interesting. afraid i must agree there isn't anyone there that will take her atm, Kiri if fully fit could but, and she's always motivated that girl |
By:
No way for Zheng... very very bad player
By:
I think too Vinci could be a deception here...
By:
any chance of a final double bagel by the Vincinator?
![]() |
By:
I think Vinci will be not in semi
By:
impossible is nothing bb66, suppose Hantu could come apart like that
By:
No Ivanovic here to receive the double bagel on the hands of Vinci
![]() |
By:
kirilenko is the hottest girl ive ever seen
By:
Not that I wish that any player gets injured, but if that did happen I wouldn't be too upset since Sofia (Arvidsson) is first alternate.

are there no ranking points for this tourney? Anyone know the prize money for each match etc?
I think Wozi should win it |
By:
Vinci's head is half the size of everyone else's in that pic. Didn't realise she was so short. Zheng looks like she's put on a few kilos.
By:
yes, there are ranking points. more info should be on wtatennis.com
By:

what a shame ATP doesn't have a similar tournament. i think it would be great season finale for your "Old man is back at #1 spot" thread.

Below are the head-to-head records as they approached the tournament.

I understand the istanbul tourney with the best female players playing against each other.....but how is this group of players champions?
By:
Six of the players won a tournament during the year, making them "champions" the other two are wildcards picked for no reason other than they might entice a few more people to the matches...Yes MaKiri that means you
![]() |
By:
the only thing to note about the points is that Wozi can finish the year in the top 10. She is 55 points behind bartoli. That should mean a lot more money from endorsements than the prizes on offer
By:
it should have been the best ranked players winning a tournament of the 'international' level on WTA tour not competing in Istanbul, but obviously Kanepi (probably injured) and Venus have turned down to play there, Pironkova chosen WC for obvious reason to have a home player
By:
Vincinator missed it having done almost half the task
![]() ![]() |
By:
someone lay my 1.87 back on Woz outright, please.
![]() |
By:
hope you get, though SuHsieh might drive the price up with a first set

By:
greening out caramba?
By:
it was arb from the beginning, very small one, so there's no greening out to do.
