It is all about huge 1.3 against Malisse. Tsonga still need pick up some points. Of course he is little tired. but Seppi, Bellucci and Berdych in same situation.  Is it something else? Health problems?

He is clearly ok. Berdych is a tough opponent.

1.30 on Tsonga is not huge against any top 100 outside slams. He didn't looked too motivated here last year, lost a set to Marti and lost to Querrey, tanking if you ask me. Also lost 2 times this year while under 1.10 to Dodig and Querrey.

yes and i think his main start would be paris next week and london finals week after and would think he is concentrating on that fully . he went to both events finals, last yr  adding to that last week final with berdy it wold be long run for him so no wonder market expecting easing off a bit this week

Doesn't matter. Every player, even Nadal, can lose under 1.1 sometimes. But Nadal in-form(like Tsonga now) will not be about 1.3 against Rosol or another mugs just because he lost him in a past. Funny. I like the version about paris and london more. But 1.3 is too much anyway. He need a points now. No need it last years.

There is no version, more like all the facts combined. I feel Tsonga is generally overrated by the bookies in the late 18 months or so. I just looked at the betting ranks of last 52 weeks on matchstat to see if that is the case and guess what, he is at 40 on the worst ranking just between Wickmayer and Chela, needles to say he is the biggest ATP name on the list.

It says a lot because Tsonga is 54-22 this year meaning he is winning but is not getting the odds he should, also says he has no big wins this season except for when he beat a 40% Del Potro at Rome.

he is bit overrated but indoors tsongas best environment last yr he won metz then viena then second rd here tnen two final s, funny its going quite simmilar way if he eouldnt choked with birdy. dont really think he would tank here but iff he hit better opponent who knows. poits wise thisctime of year he is ok did better at beijng and shanghai than last yr and he probabky expecting of himsrlf to win paris.he is in good form no doubt

I think it was almost certain Tsonga tanked v Querrey last year. I think he even gave Querrey a couple of points when there were dubious calls.

And he seemed to have done his best to give Martic a chance in the first round.

He was coming off a final last year (Vienna). Likewise this year.

Masters next week with final points to defend. The question mark is how comfortable he feels of making London without any meaningful points here.

Feels a good spot for Malisse although its already in the price.

Malisse won his last match 3 month ago against Chardy. So, no chance

Tsonga always bad in Valencia... the court are little bit slow

but Xmug is drifting now

definitely it's a very tough call... Malisse looks not finished, just watching his match against Isner in USO...

but lack of constency
