all three faves tonight...hradecka, safarova and barthel are all capable of throwing in pitiful performance, but I'm hoping they all actually act as faves tonight.

Exactly. So the logical thing here would be to lay each of them pre-match and wait for the right moment to green out.

1st rounds are always best for upsets if neither of the players has the advantage of 'having the feel' of the court/hall from qualifiers whilst the other one (favourite) plays first match there.

Barthel is capable of meltdown at any stage of any match so we'll see if that happens here. On the paper she's the favourite and the better player but in sports anything is possible.

I'm not so sure about that ;[p and endort. Both of these players have 7-3 records in their previous indoor games, and Barthel went out to weaker opposition in this same tournament last year... I think she'll trade higher than 1.37...
