On Mayer even though Blake has a far superior h2h.

Blake had a good US Open but I was a little surprised to see him favourite. He was pumped in New York and played a very high risk strategy. Cant see him bring the same energy. Mayer for me.

Odds here also make a mockery of the rankings, but the fact Mayer just played two matches in Davis Cup on clay (as did Stebe, who lost today) defo has a bearing on the SP - reckon odds should be other way round tho.

masteryoda, was wondering the same thing, if the market isn't factoring in a bit of davis cup fatigue for mayer (altho both his matches was three-setters), and also a quick turnaround clay-hard court, which makes some players hit a lot more unforced errors until they get adjusted... that being said, I can't see how blake is the (albeit by a short margin) favourite
