Thought i'd get this thread started early. Starting really late at midnight but i will stay up and watch of course.
Azarenka looks good value @5.1 but we all know how strong Williams is.
Can Azarenka realistically win this? I really hope Williams retires at the end of the year

its all bullshit azarenka is usually very competitive against serena especially in second set.start of the match will be the key she cant afford getting to the match for 20 minutes as she usually does .Serena level usually drops in second set and at this point she will be vulnerable . but on the other side playing competitive doesnt mean winning ,but azarenka has game to hurt powerful hitters. going to watch and wait for good moment to get involved if i miss the train, dont care at this price

My opinion is that the odds are exactly right on this one. No value on either player at the moment. Azarenka at approx. 5.5 is a realistic view of her chances.

Actually there is small value on Serena, however ridiculous it may sound. But not enough for me to get into it and I am likely to go sleep instead of watching this one. Maybe I will put in a small back for spare change

azarenka was a more aggressive player in 2009 than she is today.
it's actually that slight reining in of her game that's given her deserved success. to beat serena today you're looking at a lacklustre serena , which is about a 5% chance in a slam final or a redlining hyper aggressive azarenka, which gives her about a 35% chance of beating her. based on my assessment, the market is saying there's a 40% chance that the redlining vuvu will turn up. which is far too high. between 10 and 15% imho. gives me about 1.11 on serena. |
