This match is interesting, and one of my main positions today.

Harrison did well yesterday (pretty good practice match for him) and I think he will take Granola today.

On hard courts they score similar, Granola has a bit more experience but Harrison has much bigger upside and he generally plays well in US tournaments.

I agree, Harrison win.
Report smb360 August 21, 2012 10:43 PM BST
You think he did well against Soeda? I thought he was poor. Will still be taking this price though.
Report Marin1977 August 21, 2012 10:48 PM BST
Why do you think he was poor? Plain OK he loses concentration in matches occasionally but not too horribly.
Report endort August 21, 2012 10:53 PM BST
he is losing it here....
Report smb360 August 21, 2012 11:29 PM BST
I thought he was horribly passive, and his backhand slice, which he was hitting too often, was setting up Soeda time and again by dropping short.
Report Marin1977 August 21, 2012 11:33 PM BST
He likes the slice but normally hits it quite long. I wasn't really watching the match carefully, just here and there.
Report smb360 August 21, 2012 11:36 PM BST
I watched the whole second set but didn't pay too much attention to the first. I guess he could have been taking it easy given that he had a set in his pocket.
Report Marin1977 August 21, 2012 11:43 PM BST
Yea, probably. But unlike the "real" chokers he tends to regain focus if things get real, which is one of the things I like about him.
Report robbot August 22, 2012 12:06 AM BST
How fast is this court? Anyone. Faster ore slower than cinccinati last week
Report smb360 August 22, 2012 12:19 AM BST
From watching I think it isn't especially fast for a hard court.

Put another 3-fold. Hoping for third in a row to come in. Gone for Granollers, Rus and Wozniak.
Report Marin1977 August 22, 2012 12:23 AM BST
Well, you can tell by the ace stats that is is not so slow, at least the matches I watched (just a few).

Generally that is a good indicator.

Nope.

I fail to see the logic really, I think they might all lose.

Bouchard looks dangerous from what I have seen of her, JJ should win anyway and I am on Harrison Silly

Tbh mate. I'm fed up of losing on 1.1-1.3 shots losing me accys. So i've started taking a few risks. Working so far so just carrying it on.

Report Marin1977 August 22, 2012 12:32 AM BST
Well accumulators are poor value in any case.

Also, in this case Wozniak starts before others so best would have been to just put money on her and if she wins then put everything on a 2-leg accumulator - you would get more potential profit.
Report Supernando2010 August 22, 2012 1:10 AM BST
I dont like Ryan here as a favorite at allPlain

Granollers obviously cracked top 20 for a reason, though he did lose quite some points as a 2011 champion with his first round exit in Gstaad now, but i think he was definitely fatiqued since he had that great but exhausting run in Umag...i just hate betting against him, he is so flexible around the court that he always makes you play one more shot, and is almost errorless in terms of unforced errors on a good day. He is also good at changing defence into attack instantly.

Would you really trust a relatively inexperienced kid like Harrison as a favorite here? Granny is in the best years of his career and is arguably playing the best tennis of his career...
Report Marin1977 August 22, 2012 1:47 AM BST
Wozniak wins it but Rus looks iffy.

Report smb360 August 22, 2012 2:27 AM BST
Marin is he hitting well? I'm not watching, as much as I'd like to be, because I'm busy on JJ ...

(Cry)
Report Marin1977 August 22, 2012 2:28 AM BST
Yup, doing really well so far, looks calm and confident. Granola not too shabby. Both unimpressive as far as serve aggression goes.
Report PleaseBreak August 22, 2012 2:30 AM BST

That was a pressured-down price though, I think he was 1.85 a while before
Report smb360 August 22, 2012 3:15 AM BST
Anyway greened out (took Granollers 1.63 in first set, potentially stupid as I wasn't really watching, just trying to follow a bit) and time to have a little look at Cirstea match I think
