I do not see Chardy winning this unless Juan Martin plays well below his level and makes many unforced errors. Chardy will have to play well above his  normal level, and given the fact that Murray was poor this accentuated Chardy's performance in my opinion. Juan Martin has more shots and is the far better player, and at the end I believe he will prevail.

I can't imagine Delpo's wrist magically healing overnight.
With just a bit of preparation Chardy should know all he needs to do is serve at 3/4 pace to the backhand side, then come into the net to put away the weak slice return.

Troicki is a mental midget who wasn't playing well to begin with so couldn't take advantage. But Chardy's in good form here and I think he'll take huge advantage of a golden opportunity against an injured opponent.

Ive layed Chardy every round so far since the last round of qualies. But I willbe laying him this one last time as his wild attempts at winners wont be able to compete with Del Potros persistent power

Chardy in the quarters is a surprise and he got there by being lucky. Del Potro eliminated strong servers Haas and showed he wasnt seriously injured, as he would not have risked US Open. So Del Potro in 2 sets.

delPo retirement after set 1 would be nice, I've an arb with a completed match bookie on himGrin
Report jalmeida78 August 17, 2012 3:39 PM BST
Chardy wasn't soo lucky against Murray the frog. He play well and had some very good winners. Delpo was a bit of a joke against Troicki and he wasn't eliminated because Trocki is simply Troicki always defeating himself.

I stated a fact: that after a certain point in the match yesterday Del Potro played sliced backhands every single time when he would normally hit a flat two-hander. This was not a tactic, since it was having a negative effect upon his play. Something caused him to depart from his usual playing style.

Keep your insults to yourself. You should not even be participating in a discussion on this subject since it is clear that you didn't watch yesterday's match.

Del Potro match yesterday was very suspicious, he totally gave away the 2nd set, acting like he was suffering and injured and struggling and then the second the 3rd set started his entire body language changed and "amazingly" was suddenly back to full fitness. To me it absolutely stank to high heaven so not surprised to see the result today, Del Potro knew exactly what he was doing yesterday.
