There are several matches were he would have hit a fortune if he laid (at least greening out), with such kind of stakes, you can easely sacrify 100 from your green at low odds. Hitting 5k here and there would have heavely reduced the actual red. But his strategy involves to beat the bookies, not the other punters...

Certainly not if you green at the correct time. thats the secret most dodnt understand :
Low odds = greed time = no value = only risk => cheap lay => stake covered => easy, no stress, re-entering market later allowed or just let the greens run and go to another market/match and win time.

i think not laying off bets is the smallest problem yang has atm, its not the main reason he has lost, I dont usually lay off either and ive managed to hit +30% roi this year.

Yang missed a great opportunity to lay off his Murray outright bet at Wimbledon i told him but he just won't listen  to anyone.

I speak about very low odds, and for WTA just as an example, there are quite a few players you just cant "let run" how you say to win 5 € more (refusing to sacrify). its ridiculous. just take Serena and Azarenka this year, if you laid them for 100 stake 1,01 (and lower sometimes) every time, and backed them with half green the many times they went back to 1,5 you would be rich now.


If you need to green out at medium-low odds, there is always the possibility to reduce your exposition with partial out-redding.

1,01 is NEVER value. There is always 1 out of a hundred chance the player hurts himself. many dont even play 100 matches a year, and they all have at least one choke.

Except if you bought at 200/1 or higher, then you may back it with your green.
