Instead of having one of those awful, awful competitions that only spread sadness, sorrow, distress, anger and provoke many other bad feelings I said to myself....
'Hey, why not spread a little love?' So here it is. Part 1 of the "Who is the ultimate forumite?"-competition. If we don't get bored with them (i.e if there are at least 2 votes on this topic) there will be other parts like "smartest forumite", "most relaxed forumite", "nicest forumite", "funniest forumite", "most loyal fan of a not so good tennis player from Slovakia" (rejoice Journeyman, easy points
) and maybe others.
Ultimately the top 3 of each vote will be awarded points and at the end of the whole thing we will know who is the coolest and most awesome forumite of all time. There will inevitably be some jealousy and envy at some point, but let them grumpy people eat cake I say.

Why don't you do this for tennis players instead? Then you can message them on Twitter to say they have won.
Good idea Srich, I vote for Federer he is cool apart from when he cries if he loses.
I doubt any of them would feel blessed to be associated with a betfair tennis forum award. Plus, who would be Hantuchova's most loyal fans among the players? We can't just scratch the most important part of the competition.
But as a forumite yourself to be able to brag about it would kick ass, wouldn't it? Any nominations on me are forbidden btw. Saves me from being embarrassed for never receiving any votes if I directly say it's not allowed due to anti-corruption rules.

Who would you pick for most relaxed and cool WTA player? Most of them live on their nerves.

There's no basis at all for this to be removed. It's a (small) mood raiser for absolutely everyone and a positive influence on the otherwise often so tedious atmosphere of the forum. Betfair forum stuff should appreciate it.
So let them votes come in.
One more thing I forgot to mention in the opening post: Even if someone should not be nominated, he should not feel left out or not loved. There are many, many great and awesome forumites and every one of them should feel special about themselves, no matter the votes. This is just the crop of the cream and not landing on the very small number of point worthy spots (i.e 3) is not something to be embarrassed about. Spreading a little bit of additional love for the winners does not mean others are worthless at all.
Remember when you were super little and were invited to the track&field festival of your county, but didn't finish among the top3? It might've made you sad at that time, but in the end you should be proud to have been part of it. In the same vein you should be proud about being part of an illustrous community like this.
So let them votes come in.

Yang by far the happiest. gets about 200 abusive posts a month on his thread and takes it all with optimism and good cheer. could be because his bets are pure fantasy or hes just so rich the losses dont mean much but he never even seems to seethe. could be he's just high as a kite on prozac the whole time. either way seems a very nice fellow.

Caramba, there wasn't even any real interest in voting on this one, so all the fantastic and fun plans for the future were scrapped
