Federer has cried plenty in post match interviews after Grand Slam Final defeats. Wimbledon, Aus Open,.... Why do you not call for him to man up?

i'm never a fan of tears in such a situation but at least he tried to hold it together. losing tennis matches is never an excuse to blub imo tho

I kept myself together pretty well during the ceremony, I didn’t want to act like a child

But once I arrived in the locker room , I sat down, and naturally, after losing the final of the tournament that thrills me the most, against the number one player, and having had lots of opportunities, I started to cry – out of disappointment, sadness. It was the only match where I cried afterwards last year, and one of the few where I’ve done it in my entire life. It was a very even match. I spent 20 or 25 minutes totally crushed. Once people started to arrive, I sat in a bathtub. They were coming to encourage me. I would thank them and ask them to leave me alone. Both had one break point, Federer took his Murray didn't end of. Serve second set apart was where Murray lost it. |

I think that was a disgusting OP! Tennis is his life. He tried his hardest throughout the game - unfortunately it wasn't good enough, he was up against probably the best ever player there has been.
I have cried before, I'm sure you have too, OP. Imagine if that was you, a nation's expectations on your shoulders. I'd find it hard to hold together too. |
