Federer did the same in 2008 when he lost.

Is he a pusssy aswell?

Got a nagging suspicion something has happened off court. All the looking up to the sky (or roof) after each match and now today's tears.

Tears were the sign of weakness leaving his body. That's why he aint winning the big ones. Too much of the pusssy in him.

Federer has cried plenty in post match interviews after Grand Slam Final defeats. Wimbledon, Aus Open,.... Why do you not call for him to man up?

Geldof could have done with the two of them and invited gazza along for good measure during those drought years  Wink

It shows he cares, the tears could be the making of him and will make him try even harder.

i'm never a fan of tears in such a situation but at least he tried to hold it together. losing tennis matches is never an excuse to blub imo tho

I kept myself together pretty well during the ceremony, I didn’t want to act like a child Laugh. But once I arrived in the locker room , I sat down, and naturally, after losing the final of the tournament that thrills me the most, against the number one player, and having had lots of opportunities, I started to cry – out of disappointment, sadness. It was the only match where I cried afterwards last year, and one of the few where I’ve done it in my entire life. It was a very even match. I spent 20 or 25 minutes totally crushed. Once people started to arrive, I sat in a bathtub. They were coming to encourage me. I would thank them and ask them to leave me alone. I don’t like to be seen crying.

A quote from Rafa about the Wimbledon 07 final. He knows. Cool

4th set hardly a capitulation.

Both had one break point, Federer took his Murray didn't end of.

Serve second set apart was where Murray lost it.

just saying it as it happened

when he had break points at 4-4 he was on the verge of victory

not many minutes later he got broke at 5-6 and was never again competitive

Nadal said he would never expose the paying public to childlike tears of self sympathy.
He does his crying in private.
like a man should.

I think that was a disgusting OP! Tennis is his life. He tried his hardest throughout the game - unfortunately it wasn't good enough, he was up against probably the best ever player there has been.

I have cried before, I'm sure you have too, OP.

Imagine if that was you, a nation's expectations on your shoulders. I'd find it hard to hold together too.

This forum should make people weep for this type of thread. You not seen Fed blub when he got beaten by Nadal?

This is how the 'great' Fed handles Slam final defeat:

Muzza can do no right when it comes to his haters on here. If he cries, he's a p*ssy, if he doesn't he would be labelled a dour, hard-faced, miserable Scottish c*nt.
