my first thought was the same, but after a night of thinking i better watch first set and take decision. there are some doubts on potro as he never showed good results on wimbledon and this is for a reason. also ferrer on some kind of strike. but game-wise potro should prevail on grass 4 sure.

ferrer will return well and put delpo under pressure it will be close though, a good bet is 5 sets i think.

A few minutes ago somebody recommended that I do not have a bet on this match. This person is absolutely right, because I just could not make up my mind in respect to the eventual outcome. You just cannot rely on delpo sometimes he goes off, and ferru has proven he can take out delpo out on any surface, at 2.4 ferru is a good bet

The way I see it is, Ferrer lost 1st set to Roddick and was pushed in the 2nd set quite a bit. He could have easily been 2 sets down to Roddick... And Del Potro is much better than Roddick, so should be good enough to take at least one set.

From the beginning I favoured Del Potro. Since last night, I have serious doubts and I now can see Ferrer knocking him out. One forumite said to me. If my picture is not clear, then dont bet. Therefore, I shall concentrate on another match. Good luck to you |

Ferru destroyed delpo this year in the hardcourt season just thrashed him and delpo was a big fav at 1.54

Hench, I think it's a reasonable bet as I think it is highly unlikely that this match will be 3-0 in either direction. However, I am not interested in trying to call the winner on this - too tough to call as the odds say. Therefore, I view that there is much better value in laying Del Potro 3-0 at 4.8 rather than Ferrer 3-0 at 7.6 - what do you think?

Ferrer is a well underrated player imo. He is regularly underdog to players like delpo yet consistently is there abouts in the big tournaments and is easily capable of beating all outside top 3. As everyone is suggesting this match is 50/50 (with Delpo possibly slight fav on grass). Ferrers odds too high though I reckon!!! |
