Beat Brands in Eastbourne who's ranked similarly to Andreev, best days behind him ... Golding still an unknown and untested at this slam level though, so tough to say till we see him out there but I really like his fiery attitude, I think he'll go far as he has the weapons.

He's got to have a decent chance really. Sort of character who should raise his game in the big arena unlike a Bogdanovic type. as you say he was impressive vs monaco despite it being an exho.

Andreev fitness worries make him an awful bet. Prize money up to 14.5k for a first round loss now. Definitely enough for injured players to turn up and play a few games (hopefully a set) and retire (jaziri et al). How injured is Andreev? No idea, but it can't be great considering he was injured in Madrid with this problem, looked troubled in Dusseldorf and only played 1 match, and retired in the French.

chance for golding.

His insane topspin forehand will be a little more neutralised on this surface too, and he must be hampered by his lack of preparation coming into it.

You can see why hes got a shoulder injury when you watch his serve and forehand. i guess it's wear and tear. will that get better in a matter of weeks, i wouldnt have thought so. i imagine (and as it looks over past few weeks) that it's an ongoing problem.

But his record at wimbledon is okay. Done relatively well really and I recall hes particularly played well on court 1

certainly vulnerable on a green grass court though

Yes the courts much purer the first couple of days. Interesting if the match goes tight, Andreev never been the mentally toughest and obviously Golding inexperienced. Think it'll be an interesting match.

true, the grass totally swallows the spin, it makes it even easier for the opponent.

Honestly think Golding has to play barely a 7/10 match here to get through, doesn't need to try too hard, Andreev is too erratic.

why do you care what I say?  I laid Andreev at 1.95 and laid Golding 1.53 but it doesn't matter to you.  I can't prove what I do and you won't believe what I say so stfu and look at your own bets.

sorry for ruining thread guys, I think Golding has a great chance here, 1.5 and a set up - you can all decide.  I will wait till I know who wins before I commit properly but Igor looks awful.
