from what ive seen of tomic, he never seems to care all that much. retired last match after losing a few games? as i understood it, he's already racked up some practice on grass, so this afternoon surely depends on whether his lazy brain feels like he's practiced enough now.

Fognini has always been erratic, flashes of genious and very trivial errors. Mentally, he reminds me of Verdasco in the early days - yeah, he is still a mug but in the early days even more :)

Tomic must have thrown that match. Fognini before today - matches started as underdog, lost first set and won = 0%.
There can be a first time for pretty much everything, right?
Just that in this particular case it wasn't the first time that Fognini won sets 2 and 3 after starting as an underdog and after also having lost the first set.
