not sure how he'd move on it but apart from that he should be fine
he did lose to evgeny korolev 2 weeks ago though ![]() |
By:
you are right. from what we saw in nice & paris, he is an incredible shotmaker, but his movement is nowhere near professional standard. (which is no wonder of course, regarding his injuries and operations over the last years.)
he plays gremelmayr today. surely this shouldnt be too much of a problem, although i remember the german winning some matches on grass last year. |

6/2, 6/4
only one more win to reach the main draw! |

Agree, horrible injuries for such a young guy (hip replacements are normally for elderly people, not young athletes).
By:
was there any odds on brain baker to win that match?
By:
after losing the 1. set, he won sets 2,3 & 4 easily. qualifying successfully done. now he will hope for a good main draw.
By:
BB had an easy 1. round. nice points for the ranking already. now he faces a real challenge in captain nemo.
playing on court 9 the match wont be on the red button, right?!? |
By:
6-0, not too shabby so far.

6-0, 6-2, 6-4 vs nemo is a great result. i havent seen the match though. dont know if jarkko had some health issues.
3. rd will be against paire who seems to be on fire atm. i saw his loss vs ferrer in shertogenbosch. he played serious good stuff and had a good chance to win the match. beating ebden and dolgopolov convincingly will boost his confidence for his 3. wimbledon-match as well. |
By:
he is gonna beat paire in next round and meet nadull in 4th .. would love to see nadal lose to baker hahaha
By:
Hmmm, now Baker has a serious chance to make quarters at least !
By:
so nadal had his death written by the hands of rosol and not baker.. would love to see baker vs rosol 4th round and then tsonga in the quarters
By:
paire is very good imo. surely the strongest opponent so far.
By:
lovely
![]() his results so far: Albot 6-2, 6-3 Gremelmayr 6-2, 6-4 Teixera 5-7, 6-2, 6-1, 6-2 Machado 7-6, 6-4, 6-0 Nieminen 6-0, 6-2, 6-4 Paire 6-4, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 |

By:
![]() very good performance, interesting vs kohl next |
By:
im gonna hav a small bet on baker vs kohl.. the odds on baker would be huge
By:
from what i saw in the last set vs paire, he's not good to beat top-10 player for sure.
By:
yeh. but kohl isnt top 10 either

looks like we wont see the BB-kohli-match today due to rain.
here is a nice BB-video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0R9D6zg0Qoo |
By:
I hope that we'll see this match today?
Any chances against Kohli today? |
By:
nice little vid that jjjjj. Go Baker
By:
oh no. ffs.
just when they should have come on court, its starting to rain. ![]() |
By:
his parents will have to stay over even longer
By:
it's good that not many tournaments are played in UK.
they should have roof at every court. |
By:
yeah, they only should get indoor-events.
By:
too bad, BBs journey did end today.
kohli is a class act on grass court with good chances in his qf-match (tsonga/fish) imo. he was serving solid and intelligent, with good angles. doing so he took away BBs biggest weapon, his return. not surprisingly the biggest difference between the players was their movement. BB is just miles away from the speed and agility of the average top100-player. lets hope he stays healthy and can work on his movement the next months. |

Good thread jx5, hopefully he will stay healthy and be a contender in future tournies.
