Thoughts? She will get li na/kvitova in semis then stosur/kerber in finals. I fully expect her to get through to the semis with ease. I think that this might be pova's best chance of winning the elusive RG and complete her career slam. With serena, aza, aggie out, its really hers to lose. Pretty sure that pova will "struggle" in one of the next 4 matches. We know she always starts slow and might go a set down before she starts playing, so kind of a dilemma for me whether to back or lay the 2.46.

if you're in toss a coin position just step back and don't touch it.
Report djyt June 4, 2012 9:58 AM BST
also i think only li could trouble maria, if she's in finals, title most probably hers.

struggle meaning down an early break, etc. We all know that she often have slow starts.

also looking at the nadal/pova double currently at 3.2, anyone good at odds accumulating knows if 3.2 is good or bad odds?

povas not even conceded more than 5 games in each of her matches yet. she's looking in very top form and the opponents are weaker than her as william, aza etc. are out.. but in the end its wta anything can happen :D
Report iloveback June 4, 2012 11:04 AM BST
odds show the risk here. Its not easy for her to win at Rolland Garros.Still some decents opponents waiting and she is also not perfect on clay.
Report The Bhoys June 4, 2012 11:10 AM BST
gvl i sure did but then i backed him at 1.2 for small profit
Report rooneyronaldo08 June 4, 2012 11:12 AM BST
sharapova by far the most skilled player left in the draw. if weather is good, its definately a back. only way she doesn't win if its extremely windy
Report The Bhoys June 4, 2012 11:14 AM BST
plenty of people can beat her. li, stouser, kerber, kivitova, cibby and kanepi.
Report rooneyronaldo08 June 4, 2012 11:19 AM BST
djokovic, federer (both have done on clay before), del potro also can beat nadal, but will they?

obviously the players can but fact is they are not as good players as maria
Report pauliow June 4, 2012 11:28 AM BST
Kerber at 15 is great value imo. I've had a nibble
Report rooneyronaldo08 June 4, 2012 11:34 AM BST
maria has beaten li, kvitova, stosur, kerber on red clay in this clay court season but has lost to none of them. she is now also playing much better than she was during the clay court season.

anyway i got many on her at 3.65 a couple of days ago and will let it ride
Report jackplc June 4, 2012 11:58 AM BST
She'll beat Zak but I also think Li + Kvitova will win today so the 2.46 won't get that much lower. You'll have some anxious moments in the semis... Could just back the tournament winner then not touch any of her matches.

bit dodgy today and weds. wind will affect probable qf kanepi just as bad, her ball toss is almost as high. important day is thurs and forecast is calm. hopefully she can right last year's wrong and thump na li with no wind. no forecast for sat yet.
