Wawrinka the more competent clay court player in my opinion. That said, expect Tsonga to come out the blocks flying and Stan is typically a slow starter. If he drops the first (Stan that is), I'll be backing him then

I think it will be convincing win by tsonga.wawas best surface but tsonga isntvthat bad and playing very well so far.last yr amazing comeback by wawa but i cant see that this yr.epic battle with simon,long rallies ups and downs must took some toll from wawa as well if it will go to distance.first set can go either way but then expecting tsonga to step up

wawrinka the better player from the baseline. tsonga wont get too much freepoints from his serve, as conditions are slow today. so we can expect long rallies i which stan really should have too much for jo.
on the other hand wawrinka has big choking-tendencies. he can play incredibly well, but when he gets tight, which happens against top10-players quite often, he sprays them everywhere. he should have gained some additional confindence from his win over simon though. i fancy wawrinka to win it in 4. |
