DStyle, what is this carp...? Big bot players swapping money between accounts to avoid the PC or...?
I'm growing old... ;-)
Glad I laid the 1.75 massively tho...

i have absolutely no idea what it was; i layed some of the 1.5 on Johansson, but wasn't watching and started wondering whether she was injured.
surely there is no way anyone would risk swapping money between accounts on a match that's in play, when you could easily go and find something much quieter with no in play delay.
looking at the graph, is there any chance that it was someone trying to bail from a position too big for the market?

surely, you're right about the easier options available if one should want to swap...I was just trying to find an answer...
losing on purpose (i.e. gambling massively against odds) sounds ridiculous. I know from very reliable sources that e.g. at Russian tennis tournaments very strange odds movements occur because mega-millionaires with little odds understanding enter the markets - this could be up that alley...amazing it is, tho
could be the big position, but still...?
I'm still growing old...oh well ;-)

but tbh, I dont like giving up the short-term trade just to wait and see if lunacy loses...but hey, it had to be laid...
DStyle, do you lay these blatantly wrong prices at every time...? There seem to be several occasions lately...

and in these r1 matches, you have to be exceptionally careful how big a position you take on.
there are times in the past where i've skewed markets just because i'm trying to dump money the market can't absorb.
and i'm not talking about that much either (thousands rather than tens of thousands), just that these r1 markets can't often support it.

DStyle, MJ backed fairly big at 2.10 but still, nowhere near those numbers that were put up at 1.75
Sure, could be a cover for a big bet with a bookie, but on Johansson-Rodionova...???
Speculation, with these number, doesnt make sense either. The only logical explanation I can cling to is that a profoundly rich gambler out there felt relatively certain MJ would win...
Advanced pocket money...?

looking back at what happened, in an otherwise quiet market (100k matched) lumpy got on johannson at 1.7ish from 4-3* to 5-4*.
i reckon the counterparty/counterparties got spooked and looked to dump some of their exposure trying to back her at 1.5ish.

yeah could be, but the big position was at 1.75 (around EUR 100K), the sum just stayed there, the guy(s) wanted to be matched. Then sheep went below with 1.74 to 1.70...
Dont you agree we can rule out speculation since no equally big positions at lower odds were entered into the market...?
DStyle, dont you agree that this is not the old Lumpy...? He played GBP 30K and he mostly laid 2-0 set victories for huge favs...

Dodders, at 4-4 *0-15 in an even match, on paper...it is simply crazy to back the server, as she was behind by one point so intensely at 1.75(moreover, she had just been rebroken twice and Rodionova had held so momentum was massively on the Aussie's side...).
Cant help thinking there's more to it than utterly strange millionaire gambling...but I dont see it, oh well...cant see all the lights in life...
