He loves the USA. He might also have some kind of contract with the tournament in Houston, not sure about that.
He won't go to Monte Carlo next week btw, he's announced he won't play there. |
By:
Similar for Harrison, where did Isner announce that edy?
By:
By:
Yeah but you forget Isner didn't get the marathon man tag for nothing.
By:
OK, thanks hollywood85.
By:
If Fish loses, Isner surely is not gonna miss the chance. Monaco biggest remaining threat.
By:
dont think isner take care about those tournaments anymore,he want to fry bigger fish certainly
but difficult to see him losing but he may well be thinking about those preperations he mentioned he may take it easy. great line I'd like to think I'm sort of a nightmare to play." ![]() |

certainly to watch

By:
anyone think isner has a chance in the french open???
By:
very small chance I guess.
By:
Layers withdrew
By:
he have huge chance to get to the quaters i think and he could certainly upset murray or fedex there if he meet them
By:
depends how he will be seeded
By:
i think he is improving quite rapidly, and i guess someone has to challenge the big 4 at some point. he looked good against tsonga the other day. think i might put 5 on him at 90s and hope for the best. also thinking almugro might do well too....

Isner is awesome on this surface, his movement is fantastic for a guy of his height, the bounce on clay suits his game perfectly, what is a shoulder height shot for people like Fed is right in the hitting zone for Big John. I remember when he led Rafa 2-1 in sets at RG, we all thought at the time he had over-performed, realisation is setting in now, opposed him versus Tsonga recently in Davis Cup, totally dismantled the Frenchman agains the hostile backdrop of a partisan home crowd. Only issue tonight will be motivation and as average as Zeballos is, clay is his surface.
By:
well said
By:
I have seen Zeballos playing both on clay and hard and i must say his best surface is hard court not clay.Still remember he came from nowhere 2 years ago but played great in Russia. But now he is not that good any more.Isner in 2
By:
yes i agree mugro is black hores as well as big jon for me.
5 set format may suit him well as he often can change from erratic to excellent,so he will be diffcult to beat |
By:
nice observation 1.01
I agree, big John does like the soft high bounce of the clay, right into his hitting zone. that game against rafa was sublime, although rafa was blaming the balls that week ![]() |

By:
isner beat zeballos last yr here
By:
When does this start? I notice Kunitsyn-Harrison are just warming up.
By:
awful stream
By:
price went from 1.20 to 1.16 !
By:
Then market no move for the hold to 15
Weird |
By:
Every time I watch Isner, I always wonder how he manages to win matches. He simply can't get round the court.
By:
2 UE's in exactly the same way, could Isner drop the first set?
By:
He looks a little complacent sometimes, I imagine he wins a TB, 2-0 would be good if the price was higher.
By:
isner plays good when needed, also have big reach and quite quick hands so doesnt need move that much.its just an impression
By:
yeah, he should cruise this. Fish game has made me nervous about backing a 1.2 shot in a clay comp.
By:
great length on those shots!! Isner looks a winner here. Off to the footy again, good luck guys.
By:
0-40 on Zeballos' serve and loses the next five points in a row ...

By:
Why does he keep playing those drop shots? He didn't get them right the other week when I watched him and hasn't got one right tonight.
By:
By:
Well his practice is pretty poor. He's got a 100% rate of hitting the net.
By:
is this a fix tie break ?
