50/50 match.... unreadable imo... maybe Harrison can make the difference with serve....
|
|
By:
Definitely Harrison for me at this price.

Simon doesnot play good. Harrison the american boy will win this easy.

what was bad in Simon's game against Wawrinka?
|
|
By:
realy fancy harrison here .
Watched his last three games he fairly blasts the ball. Would prefer if his odds were longer for trading. Ebdon looks good for a possible trade also vs isner his odds are 5.5. ok he beat a under par fish but worth a look J K |
|
By:
harrison's serve is not very good and in the long rallies simon can be too much for harry.
but you've frightened me a bit so I'll watch the match first before placing any bets :) Ebden can make some problems for Isner. that's true. |

I thought market will price it around evens or give slight edge to Harrison. As I said earlier, at 2.14 you gotta take position if you have at least a mild clue about tennis.
Simon's UEs aside , nobody mentioned that Simon is a mental midget with limited ability to adapt (therefore all those massive low odds gubbings that he has demonstrated over the years).Harrison is an up and coming young fighter with a lot of potential, with crowd behind him and on a court that suits him. |

It is a tricky match to predict. Simon has trouble against fast serving players usually, but then Harrison has never beaten a player ranked as high as Simon, so who knows.
|
|
By:
![]() think simon can win this match,he defo will test patience of harison and in this field harisson isnt world beater simon is tactical player and he is adapting very well to the opponents his tennis brain lifted him to top 10 , but recently his form dropped so everybody can ride on him but he is good player. harrison istn this level for sure but simon also is the biggest mug of the world so u can expect anything from him |

ok so describe simon game for me please
|
|

Agree with marin for a change. Did think the market would give a slight edge to harrison considering their respective form this year, plus markets seem to love any up and coming player, even if they arent that good.
Thought the prices would be reversed tbh, but it could well go to 3, both strong in that area if it does. |

You know what Simon's game is. He rallies.. and rallies.. moves his opponent into tricky positions until they hit an error.
|
|
By:
simon beat rafa fedex djoko one year yet he cant adapt to the style of opponent,
he beat most of the top players and he cant adapt he is counter puncher with his style ,yet he cant adapt ![]() ![]() what a big feckin bullsh1t |
|
By:
Oh come on, he was a different player then and yes he was not adaptable, ever. You might as well say that Roddick is adaptable since he defeated a lot of good players and was No.1.
Simon's main weapon has always been defense, patience and ability to rally forever. He is not even remotely close to that consistency these days, and even back then he was well known for losing won matches because he was always unable to adapt when things started to go wrong. Calling Simon adaptable has to be the biggest joke I saw from a regular forum poster since beginning of the year. |
|
By:
Even players themselves normally say in their interviews "I just have to play my game"
it is a mantra because it works exactly like that - you play to your own strengths (like the Roddick example, he rode his few weapons to the top because he was consistent enough to pull it off at least for a period of time). If your game is good enough, you can win matches, simple as that. Very few players are actually versatile enough to adapt regularly to different opponents. Big chokers? Those are usually the very worst at adapting, and Simon is their king. |

Simon is known for his speed, agility and tennis brain. His backhand is considered his best shot as he is capable of expertly creating angles and varying his shots in addition to taking the ball earlier and unleashing flat and penetrating backhand drives. He is also very capable on the forehand side, and his forehand is the wing with which he is able to attack opponents. His technique is seamless, and this enables him to absorb and redirect powerful shots. As mentioned before, he is also a tactical player who can vary his hit point on both sides, keeping the ball on his strings until the very last moment, and then suddenly taking the ball early with random injections of pace. This keeps his opponents off-guard; hence, although he is widely classed as a counter-puncher, it is often he who controls the points.
As his career kicked off in 2008, Simon began to work tirelessly on his volleys and net-game, and this has since come to form a prominent part of his game. Nowadays, he looks to sneak in and finish points off at the net whenever he can, and he often enjoys serving and volleying or rushing to the net off the return to break up his opponent's rhythm on break points and important points in general. In general, Simon is often overlooked in an era filled with powerful players and big servers. However, he is a unique player with countless layers to his game. When lacking confidence, he has a tendency to retreat behind the baseline and play passively. However, when he is confident and lucid, he is a force to behold. |

Well nobody is a total robot, lets not go to that kind of extremes. Just try watching matches regularly and you will start to get a feel for players styles and capabilities after a while.

OK, so how do you explain that a high quality adaptable player who is known for his smarts lost so many matches in his career from totally won positions? This does not seem logical to me, surely he had time to adapt and overcome.
I am talking numerous sub 1.05 crashings. |

i think u should start ur own thread ,rome like , with amount of tips u posting, im sure u would be on the big +

I am in a big plus but some people and groups seem to resent me opening threads with quality analysis, so I decided to drastically reduce or stop doing that. Why bother, I get next to none quality feedback anyway.

inability to close the match has nothing to do with adaptation.
he isnt most powerful player with big serve so he may be shakey in times |
