all things being equal Martic would win...but can she recover enough to win another match today? Jankovic could hardlly speak at end of match.

I'm with you on that. 3hrs to recover after a 3hr match against JJ.
Tough to call but on the other hand is Hsieh good enough? |

she didnt play much this year but she is quite convincing. Plus she got to the final. Martic beat Jank. but except for her good play, it had a lot to do with the usual ****yyy style of Jank. `one up one down. Hsieh has rested . Martic looked fresh at the end of match but the fatigue usually comes in a few hours. thats when the cramps start. and CHinese people are very disciplined in matters of physique.

I agree with Layton_Knewit. If Martic had played yesterday instead of today id price her around 1.4 against Hsieh so fitness taken into considderation ive taken 2.96 Martic and im stoked, win or lose

IMHO thats nothing to be proud of.. Dani played some of the worst tennis ive seen in years. She should have lost 6-0 6-0.

Dani played just fine, Hsieh was just fitter and too solid.
That said the price is not good, best to avoid this match. But people are very wrong in thinking Hsieh will be easy to beat, she is very good from the baseline and it's very questionable how much MMartic has left physically and mentally. The match earlier took out a lot of her and they played in tough condiions, high humidity and 30+°C, will still be ~25-30°C when they get on court later and it looks like chances of rain are slim. |

I put 500e on Martic. was worth the risk and its part of my week's profit anyway so it doesn't cost me anything.

I used to be an Olympic level athlete in track and field (middle distances).
What I'll say about the "weather and fatique" in the mind of a top athlete is that you push beyond that "block" when you're in a final and fighting for medals or titles. How many more opportunities will Petra have to win a title like with against a lower ranked opponent? Don't underestimate the desire of an athlete in a final, especially after a BIG win over JJ. If anything, she's "pumped" for the final, not the other way around. Her team must have put her straight to bed after that semi. Get an hours rest. |

wta players of this calibre usually play singles and doubles in most tournaments and also on same day. playing earlier no issue for me. The adrenalin and chance of winning a tournamnet will see her through the fatigue factor

I think too much is being made of the fatigue factor, yes it might play a part if we have a 3 hour match going deep into a third set but with all the nutrition etc available now I would expect Martic to be fine and that makes her price far too big IMO

if you start winning the match, no matter how tired you are... you will go full equip to win it.. so the best option is wait a few games and see if martic can take the lead.. |
