pictures normally disappear in the crucial minutes of a match when there's flip flops; but not at any other time; I smell a conspiracy by the switchgear chaps; and the berdych-murray match is not the first one.
it's called - "apply some imagination". promotes the growth of brain cells on the right hand side of your brain.
picture normally stops when the ball is in air. so you have the opportunity to apply some colourful conclusions..., has the ball:
A) gobsmacked hit the line; B) missed by a minimeter; C) out by a country mile; D) hit the umpire on the nose?

for the record; no money was on the line at the last few minutes; but it just struck me as odd that the feed goes at that precise moment; i remember the same thing happening in several other wta matches before; too much of a coincidence;

wonder why the OP "ctrl-z" is trying to kill the issue; there's clearly something going on; either the feed is hacked or the switchgear chaps create some issues to kill the feed; noted that it went down on bet365 as well as betfair.

dont see how it can be too much trouble; just add jitter on the live streaming feed; run a program to start testing the endpoints; send files; that adds jitter to the line and a video streaming cannot cope with that; simples
am sure there's some **** going on; the fact that it affects only a proportion of punters makes it even better - the switch gear chaps can get away with it.

As I've stated earlier, this seems to be a strategy that "THEY" use often; I will maintain this thread to keep count; Will only include matches where the feed gets corrupted; dropped at decisive points of the match;
1. Berdych - Murray

you have this guys who have a video feed that's 5 minutes before anyone else sitting in the transmission console of their truck; who also have been contracted to capture the video feed on behalf of the ATP/WTA; after setting up the equipment on Monday what else is left to do apart from getting on your laptop and logging into betfair to cash in? but then on top of all that they want to go after the peanuts of punters using the video stream but killing the feed at crucial/decisive points?
anyway, we will see.
yep; that's my entire theory; you have this guys who have a video feed that's 5 minutes before anyone else sitting in the transmission console of their truck; who also have been contracted to capture the video feed on behalf of the ATP/WTA; after set
Look mangarino I hope you're right, and it get exposed. but punters watching these streams know they don't exactly qualify as fast pictures. market will show you instantly who won the point or not, even does if there's say second serve a long rally or hawkeye and if you try to anticipate a ball gone in or out you're usually too late anyway, unless no one has pictures and or courtsiders and or there's an epic scoreboard failure. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone on any of this.

the whole point of this thread was to bring forward a theory; that streaming video is interfered with at crucial moments of a match; and that it's no coincidence that it happens; it's a strategy used by specific chaps in charge of the content capture/creation.

can we get more specific on who actually is interfering within Arqiva?
"Arqiva owns and operates a worldwide fleet of state of-the-art SNG trucks and Flyaway units ready at short notice to provide on the spot global connectivity and distribution wherever and whenever you need them. Our units can be automated or fully manned, and captured content can be fully encrypted at source."
Since the content is encrypted at source, this means that no-one can easily hack the video data; hence any delay can only be introduced at source; ie from within the SNG trucks that are used to transmit the video content.

i hope you will also record every time any stream goes down at unimportant points
it happens all the time ffs you just happen to notice it more if it's at an important point.

Q. Would it be possible to get the chaps doing this? A. Of course, this guys need to have betfair accounts to take advantage of the fact that they have live video coverage with no delay and to get the great odds as a result of killing the video content at the crucial points of the match.
Q. How could betfair or their employers catch on to them? A. By using their IP address range; Arqiva has been allocated the range 217.10.160.0/19. any chap logging into his betfair account from the SNG/transmission truck would be using an ip address from within that range. will check other address ranges that they have been allocated and add them.
In essence, this chaps are able to do use their betfair accounts only because Betfair allows them to do so; If betfair chose too; they could easily stop them.

for a complete listing of the ip addresses originating from them a simple search would reveal all;here's an example;http://bgp.he.net/search?search[search]=arqiva&commit=Search
funny; some of the culprits seem to be sending me a msg to fwck off and stop this line of reasoning; from the little contracting law that I can remember, Arqiva are agents of ATP through the 3 year contract extension with ATP media; And if it's prohibited for ATP players and officials to gamble/bet of match events, this automatically extends to their agents too in this case Arqiva;
If indeed the chaps doing this are employees of the contracted company, then they are automatically breaking the rules and if ATP media was to find out the contract would be in serious jeopardy; You cannot be telling the players not to bet yet on other hand allowing all your employees to bet on the same events.
Of course this are grounds for automatic dismissal by Arqiva if this information was to come to light and create negative publicity for the company.

mangorio, I have 2 serious questions for u which answers probably dont fit into your theory.
1.
If pic provider is ahead 5 seconds plus anyway (as he controlls the delay of the upstream, encrypts the streams which takes some time etc.).. : whats the poin for him to wake up sleeping dogs by cancelling the stream ?
2.
If pic provider is engaged in the great conspiracy theory, spending 100 millions in infrastructure - but also making 100 millions each day by shafting users due to delay/interruption of picture service - do you really think he is mug enough to use the same IP range for betting as for his registered services ?

On the above Qs; 1. the feed only disappears, gets jittery at crucial moments thus catching punters in open positions and with no feed some rush to green out while the rest hope for the best; provides some nice odds to get your teeth onto for the operators. this is just additional income for them - every little helps.
2. Pic provider is not involved at all; Am sure this specific aspect is specified in their contract with ATP media; hence the chaps doing this are doing it against company policy - hence the grounds for instant dismissal. of course, the operators can mask their ip addresses by using proxy and VPN servers; but that takes away some of the 5 second plus advantage that they have on the rest of the field. it's more than likely they would be tempted to use their actual ip addresses to have maximum advantage with no delay.
anyways, it's a starting point for any of the above companies wishing to look into this.
