without a doubt bloody schiavone,i oppose her so many times and she looks like she is gone but she doesnt seem to know when she is beaten,i will oppose her again with MASSIVE STAKES (25 GBP) in the next round though!
Got done for just over £3.5k overall on the Federer v Djokovic match last year at the US Open. Took me a while to recover from that mentally and my bank but finally got over it.

Sod, Phillepoussis, Roddick are me worst. Scared to bet anything involving Sod, so I guess worst losses on him overall. Fancy laying Nadal at 1.3x v Sod as I would expect a decent trade out at some stage, however, I know what will happen if I were to try...... [smiley:crazy]
I still remember losing about 7k euro in an epic match between Mugschreiber and Istomin.Every time when i switched big on the server he was broken and odds went mountain high.

Rezai, cost me £20k last french backing her vs petrova when she was murdering her for the whole match until match suspended due to light. spent the night wondering should i just take a £10k loss? and came up with the greedy answer. the evil siren came out cold as a rock and stole my munney. THEN this year i laid her big time vs begu and she tanked the first set, so i put my all green onto her and she tanked the second set as well. poor girl has family problems i understand
also azarenka for me... how can u retire when you are winning? maybe one time you suddenly pull something but 3, 4, 5 times??? that just f-ing stinks like aza's vag and they should investigate that.

Could have been pretty much any WTA player though; there are so many flip-flop matches that can turn into loss-chasing spirals for the unwary. I consider it a necessary, if expensive, lesson these days.

Without doubt, Dinara Safina for me. In fact i am amazed this thread got to 31 posts without anyone mentioning the dreaded Safin family.

Andujar cost me big time in the Bucharest tournament in 2010.
I backed against him in every round bar the fainl were I had lost so much that I backed him to win the title vs Chela and lost 7-5 6-1.
Still not anywhere near as much as Federer taking me for 3.5 k though.

I can imagine, laying Verdasco and Cilic is always a great pleasure.

*it was kuz v peng which was my biggest loss - 2k in jan. kuz was 3-0 up in final set too and had destroyed peng in first set when i placed the bet thinking peng was way out of her depth

Although in my complete career none is even close to Roddick, epic losses against Gasquet and Lu in Wimbl, and one against some mug in three tb's in first round of US open. First two ruin big combos and the last one was single on under games, three sets just as I thought

tennis players dont cost us money....bad decisions/choices cost us money.... but oc we always have to blame players,umpire,weather,crowd,f1xes(thats the prefered 1 for most) or whatever reason but not us

Haven't got Sharapova right much in the last 18 months or so, I don't think. Going back a good few years, Guga properly was my nemesis. Couldn't get a single thing right with him. Every time I got involved the exact opposite would happen in the very next game. Was quite glad when he decided to call it a day!
PS, I don't think it helps that I dislike Sharapova with a passion.

oddly enough Nadal for me, playing like dogsh*t when i back him heavy (eg Queens, madrid last year) or pulling out injured (Oz). i will be elated the day he retires from the sport

Nope, money lost betting on the cretin. Vs. Simon (!), Del Potro, few others. Usually losses from set up, with zero chance for reaction.
