Can you do multiples on specials any more?  With several sports and events it's normal to be singles only these days

Going back 20 years now but I had a note on my account with Spoortingbet regarding getting the double up on Celebrity Love Island, (2 separate votes in those days).  Had a friend who worked there who told me.  He also informed they had a memo go round from bosses on why the liability on specials markets was then set so high, along the lines of they are only meant to be for fun.

More interesting story is that of Michael Owen.  He was an acquaintance of the one of/the owner, and I believe acting as some sort of brand ambassador, and was allowed bets with 10 times the liability of a good customer.  The deal I understood was that if ever one of his bets was refused he'd sever connections.  With his horse racing connections, Owen was taking them to the cleaners.  This went on a long time and all the then traders knew it was just a matter of time.  When it got to the time of them refusing his bets, I was told Owen went into a tirade of foul mouthed abuse.

They won it when they last qualified for Europe, iirc.

Little micky Owen is a different beast off camera.
