Aitch and Angry Ginge are very good friends so that's quite weird. Fishing in the same pool, too

Quite a hard one to judge on first look.

Jack Osbourne can be a play off the back of Ozzy passing. Aitch and Ginge both northern cheeky chaps, with both having a lot of younger support. Vogue could get the typical mum vote. Shona has the Eastenders vote that seems to come from nowhere.

Probably the most uninspiring line up ever.  None of that lot look as though they can stir things up.
I was hoping Nick Ferrari would do so but his bosses at LBC ruined things Sad

Looks absolutely moribund of interesting people. With virtually no side betting and a corrupt market, I'll likely skip this one.

Well that looks shyte. Even lisa riley could win it's so bad.  They're all saying to their agents to try to get traitors instead

Okay, done abit more research, and I've made a mistake backing Vogue Williams.

Tom - I find SUPER annoying, so that means he likely wins.

No secret reveals or anything, I just initially thought she was a warm mum type. Like a Giovanna Fletcher type. Doesn't seem like that, and quite a lot of negative views on Facebook.

Of course can still be a runner if she's lovely in the camp

Ok, thanks. Don't really know anything about her, never do any research but, for some unknown reason, have a vaguely positive feeling towards her

Ginge has huge support and appeals to the younger demographic. Should get far. HOWEVER, his humor is all about swearing and taking the P out of his mates. Not sure if that connects with the wider IAC audience.

Winners tend to be ‘sweet and lovely’ – hence why Sam was such as easy call last year. And actually Tony got to the last 2, too. Tom stands out there. I can already see the “OMG Tom is so sweet, he has to win”

Could be an Aitch/Ginge vs Tom final two, with Aitch and Ginge sharing votes and giving Tom the win. Trouble is, they’re all so short and can’t back them all. I’ll back Tom as my man bet at 6.6ish as I KNOW the support is there. Don’t be surprised if Ginge captures all of the edit, though, and shortens to evens only to come up short.

Aah, that evokes fond memories of the Bullard trajectory; started short price fav, went odds-on very early. Neanderthal-type men, (who don't vote but do make the market), thought he was hilarious; women, (who do vote), saw he was a wrong'un, and he was first out.

Ah, yes, good times! I think Ginge is much more popular with the younger crowd - basically viral right now - but alas, that does seem a great comparison and how it could play out.

One thing I am seeing is a lot of people not saying Ginge is a celebrity and scraping the barell (i mean, technically he is), but I seem to recall Scarlett Moffatt getting similar treatment and that working out well for her

I will say also that A LOT of comments of the reveal posts are about Ginge. Dangerous to have him red at these prices. I'll lump on and have Tom as my saver.

Aitch & AngryGinge as sharing the same youthful social-media audience, which splits their potential support.

100% Tumber. Will need one of them out before the final for the other to get across the line methinks.

AngryGinge + Aitch = huge awareness, low vote conversion.

They’ll make noise early, but they’re unlikely to win because their followings don’t overlap with the ITV voter profile.

FWIW outside football this is the most watched TV show in the 16-30 age bracket.  I see Ginge as weaker than Jimmy Bullard, but stronger than Amir Khan.  Bullard messed up.  I've forgotten the actual incidence but without it I think he'd have gone very close to winning.  Yes he got eliminated first, but that fact is seriously misleading as he got 19.55% up against 3 of the 4 strongest contestants.  Foggy only got 4% more and ended up winning every subsequent vote comfortably (the tears on Jimmy's exit likely the series defining moment).  Undoubtedly Foggy benefited from Jimmy going, but without that Bullard incident, Foggy would likely have gone first of those four, and every chance Jimmy had gone on to win.

The weight of money is likely from young male gamblers invested in the character and the show.  I'd liken them to likely bet builder mugs.  He is by far the most popular betting pick on OC, so the money isn't likely to go away.  I think he's too short and I wouldn't personally have him favourite, but I wouldn't dismiss his chances.  He's up there amongst the leading chances.  As always a few shows in will give a much better picture.  He'll make the show a much better betting event.

30% more money traded already before the show has even started, than day 46 out of 48 in BB, which finishes in 2 days time.
By:

When: 12 Nov 25 13:09
Yes, crazy the difference in trading amounts between the two shows - though also guess viewer figures relate quite heavily to this difference too...?

When: 12 Nov 25 13:19
Contemporary BB is vastly inferior to the latest iteration of IAC, and that is saying something. IAC has at least stuck pretty rigidly to the originally successful format. People pretty much know what to expect. Though this turgid line up will surely test the ratings.
By:
stu
When: 12 Nov 25 13:49
Made a small profit (very small green allround) without watching BB this time - couldn't bring myself to invest, literally time or money, with market also being very small. I traded it on gut judgement at one point and took a small profit only.

Specials series programs are massively heavy duty on time invested - I will probably watch some but not all of IAC also, as it just eats the time away, but does need some observations to make it worthwhile investing. However, the big difference is market potential, which is WAY higher on IAC.

In maybe 1 out of 10 BBs there is a clear winner a few days out and then you can forget about having a green book and just print money, even with low liquidity. This is one such BB.
(Follow my reckless advice at your own risk).

Yes, Pete was my favourite of that type ^^^

Backed him fairly early into the opening night show (I think around the 5.0 mark), and just sat and waited for him to win it several weeks later! Very nice year that one.

Good evening my special bet comrades.

For the last 3 years I've got involved in jungle and have greatly enjoyed the banter on here as well as making a modest profit in each of those series.

Sadly, I'm going to pass this time.
I do know, have heard of, seven of the incumbents and zero about the other five.
I just can't get enthused about this years competitors at all

I wish you all the very best of luck with your positions.

Might I politely suggest that a cast of unknowns needn't negate good craic and winning?

Ginge and aitch selection looks deliberate to me to finally create some aggro after years of f all happening

They are unlikely to hold back.  So maybe i was hasty critizing the cast
