He’s been the biggest positive the industry has seen in years, he has brought increased footfall, bringing the youngsters and a new generation back to the pub. Which has seen darts leagues increasing nationwide.
If Luke wins SPOTY, darts will get even bigger. Meaning our pubs will get even busier. Let’s help Luke win to help ourselves, a campaign we can start and hopefully the tabloids jump on. No more pubs should shut, it starts here. Save the British pub.

Vote Luke Littler for BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2024
WE’RE backing Luke ‘The Nuke’ Littler to win British sport’s most iconic individual silverware – and he needs your vote!
Warrington Guardian is urging the town to get behind the 17-year-old darts superstar, who is in the reckoning to be crowned BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2024.
The 10-title competition winner in his stunning debut year as a professional player was named on the SPOTY shortlist this week.
Former Padgate Academy student Littler would become the first Warringtonian to win the award should he beat off competition from five other British sporting stars.
oining the Warrington Wolves and Warrington Town FC fan on the shortlist are footballer Jude Bellingham, cricketer Joe Root, Paralympic legend Dame Sarah Storey and two Team GB gold medalists from the summer’s Olympic Games in triathlete Alex Yee and 800m star Keely Hodgkinson.
It is the Team GB golden girl from Leigh, who became 800m Olympic champion in Paris during the summer, who is odds-on favourite to take home the famous trophy but Littler is Hodgkinson's closest rival according to bookmakers.
And this is where hometown support for ‘The Nuke’ could make all the difference.
The winner will be decided by a public vote during the ceremony, which will be shown live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Tuesday, December 17.
Voting will be available by phone, the BBC Sport app or via the BBC Sport website, with the details announced during the ceremony.
Littler, who now lives in Appleton, could finish the night with two awards, given he is also on a three-person shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year, alongside skateboarder Sky Brown and para-swimmer William Ellard.
Tuesday night’s SPOTY ceremony will be just four days before Littler’s World Darts Championship campaign begins against either Ryan Meikle or Fallon Sherrock on Saturday, December 21.
He will be the fourth seed for the tournament at Alexandra Palace and is the bookmakers’ favourite to win the Sid Waddell Trophy after a stunning breakthrough year which saw him reach the final last January on his debut, before losing to world number one Luke Humphries.
Since then, he has picked up more than £1million in prize money and won 10 titles, including the PDC Premier League and the Grand Slam of Darts.
With his amazing achievements at such a young age, Littler is credited for bringing a whole new audience to a sport which is enjoying boom times.
Here's some of the reaction to the Warrington-born darts sensation being nominated for two BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards:

Littler would be the youngest recipient of the award since Scottish swimmer Ian Black in 1958, and it would crush - once and for all - the metropolitan snobbery about darts not being a ‘proper’ sport. If precision, nerve, sense of occasion and drama are the prerequisites of lifting the prestigious SPOTY tripod camera, Luke the Nuke ticks every box.
