Just at the start of the contest they show a list of the top 10 countries on screen who have won the contest the most times. in first place is Ireland with 7 wins, In second place is Sweden with 6 wins and down to joint 8th place Ukraine with 3 wins. The presenter(s) also announce that Sweden only needs one more win to have the most wins which may or may not be seen as a subtle hint to push Sweden for the win on the night. The presenter(s) also announce the return of Luxembourg to the contest. Hmmmit is suspicious to mention that. I don't think they did last year

Jurors handed Sweden a win. Another year with a public vote landslide winner being robbed. Really don't think any act which isn't within 100 points of topping the public vote should be allowed to win, it's crazy.
Have to agree. To be honest, the ABBA 50-year anniversary being in Sweden says it all.

"how is this relevant?"
it's either a genius insight or a david icke phuckwhitisism, personally I think it is more likely to be the former than the latter.

It's not a market/money point I am making. As a fan of the contest and impartiality it just feels unprincipled to me that a song over 100 points out of topping the public vote can get crowned best song of Europe. Poor lad from Finland clearly deserves that accolade but has not got it. But of course this happens a lot, and it's part of the contest sadly. At worst they should award something for winning the public vote.Totally bizarre ( or fantastic) that polling (and comment) could pick up thatSweden wins, but Finland wins public vote.
didn't understand this post at all.
