Thanks for starting the thread, Corbyguy. I love Eurovision. Do we know who is representing the UK this year? Will there be a Song for Europe show where we can vote for our favourite song? I’m having trouble finding any information about our entry.
I don’t think the guy who sang for us last year is singing again. I know some of artists from last year are representing their countries again this year. I will listen, later, to some of the entries you have posted and see what I think of them  |

That Croatian final was funny.
I had really fancied the entry from Elena Oreskovich - a bit of an 80s-style bop(one min studio clip here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMyrwmYzURM) However, what we got, was this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8peN0PHmec Just bizarre - No staging or performance whatsoever. A brilliant track completely ruined. Just felt like something funny had gone on there. It looks like they just thrown all staging and choreography out the window, and she just went out and sang. Watch her between lines, it's like she's just rehearsing. Even if live performing was making her nervous, it would still be normal to go through all the choreography steps, albeit nervously. However, there was no choreography there whatsoever. No camera marks to hit - nothing. Was she ill? |

A few days ago, I made a prediction on twitter ...
"Obviously Keiino and Raylee are my favourites, but with Keiino, Norway have a potential winner of the whole shebang. Current Betfair price for Norway to win ESC is 18/1. If Keiino win MGP that price will drop like a stone. If they don't, the price will go out. It's as simple as that." The price remained at 18s right up until the result was announced. Then, in less than a minute .... Current price for Norway to win ESC? ..... 40/1, and that's it settling after hitting 65s. So predicatable ... (I did manage to get much of my "investment" back out, when i saw the way the votes were going. But still annoyed.) |

Switzerland just released. Got on at high teens as I anticipated a strong ballad. And yep, it's pretty good. Got out at 12s though as wasn't amazed. Now down to sub 8s...new fav!!

Icelands entry was leaked before quickly being removed. I didn't get a chance to hear, but the general view is that it isn't quite as good as expected. Switz into 6s.
