Emma W vs Saffron for me but a chance of Mike vs Emma W. Thanks for scoring fig.
Report Cider November 2, 2019 8:49 PM GMT
You'd think they are confident of getting Emma B out of the dance off, Lib. Though 6/1 for a runner adrift at the bottom is generous, one senses the brutal scoring and comments will be enough to agitate a vote.
Report Libertine93 November 2, 2019 8:59 PM GMT
I can’t see a way it isn’t 2 Emma’s B2 personally. Don’t think there’s anything to massively inspire people to vote for either. Saffron has a fan base which I think will see her safe. Emma W for me is bottom of public vote, Emma B will need to be mid table to overcome being bottom of judges scores, can’t see it.
Report Cider November 2, 2019 9:04 PM GMT
It's possible to escape with 6 points, so third from bottom in the pv. I'd have Emma W bottom and Saffron 2nd bottom so 4 pv points would do it. Though 6/7-1 is a bet.
Report Libertine93 November 2, 2019 9:10 PM GMT
Perhaps I give too much weight to Saffron’s subscriber base. Thought she was dreadful tonight though (normally do tbh) think she’s been overmarked all series. 2 horse race Kelvin and Karim for me. Kelvin the best dancer by far but Karim holds his own. 50/50 who does the better dances in the final imo.
Report Cider November 2, 2019 9:15 PM GMT
Most of them won't be watching scd, eligible to vote, or if they are, arsed to vote.
Report Libertine93 November 2, 2019 9:20 PM GMT
I agree and at later stages I think the vote will fall through. But for now I think she has enough of a base to get through

DS seething Grin Not sure why. Posh Emma has been lucky to get this far
Report Cider November 2, 2019 11:12 PM GMT
It's a bit odd to so blatantly continue to contrive to save the worst dancer. Understandable if they are a popular duffer, but he's clearly not getting any votes either. Suits the gamblers but this is detrimental to the health of the show. Presumably they will need to let him go next week.
Report five leaves left November 2, 2019 11:22 PM GMT
Not sure many outside of DS will care that Posh Emma went. Dev going way before his time much more damaging. And a contrived 'shock' elimination I suspect
Report Cider November 2, 2019 11:27 PM GMT
Not just that they saved Mike over Emma but the obvious fixed scoring for Mike after the routine was riddled with mistakes, since he was already saved in the previous two dance offs it looks like favouritism for a BBC middle aged white man (which it is). I don't even see a production argument for keeping him when Chris is much more popular duffer and can dance a bit. As I always say, we just bet on the events and can't influence them, I expected Emma W to be gone this week but with Mike at least doing a passable Charleston.
Report five leaves left November 2, 2019 11:42 PM GMT
The scores were rather odd given the mistakes and the comments. Unless they planned 9's and 10's if he hadn't made mistakes :D
However I agree if the fixing and favouritism becomes too obvious, then the show could go the same way as the XF ratings wise.
Saving Jedward over Lucie Jones was when even the most gullible viewers realised it wasn't a genuine singing contest and that they were being taken for a ride by Cowell
Report Cider November 2, 2019 11:51 PM GMT
They overscored Mike, and after giving him all the production help he could muster he still ended up in the dance off. Once their manipulation doesn't produce the pv result they want I feel like the producers would be better off accepting they are flogging a dead horse. Though it would have been a rather expensive outcome for me personally (which I feel they did in the first elimination).

40/1 on posh absolutely robbed by the GBP.
Report LOU MACARIS TARTAN B November 3, 2019 10:40 AM GMT
Some ridiculous marking.  I'd love to ask say Shirley how can she score Emma B a 5 yet give that Mike nonsense an 8?  Even if you gave them 5 each it would be a bit better but 5 then 8 for Mike it's a joke.

Also Chris with his 'Street' dance was utter cr@p.  All bets aside that was surely worth a 5 or 6 at the very most yet he gets 9's?  So that was on a par with the great dances we've seen over the years that are genuinly very good and worth 9's ............ and Chris was as good as that was he?  Look at Karim last night he was just fabulous yet Mike's score is almost as good as his?

Like I said I'd love to ask them to explain it but of course we never can.

Oh well Posh Emma out, all the good dancers (plus Chris and Mike) still in it so full steam ahead.
Report LOU MACARIS TARTAN B November 3, 2019 10:43 AM GMT
Look at Karim last night he was just fabulous yet Mike's score is almost as good as his?

Sorry meant to say Chris' score was almost as good as Karim's.  They were 'Streets' apart with one a dance he could repeat in the final .............. and Chris' nonsense that with 30 minutes training we could all be as good as.  Ridiculous.
Report Libertine93 November 3, 2019 11:04 AM GMT
Charleston and the commercial dance are free passes to the next round. Always overmarked, doesn’t matter how well you do it you’re getting minimum a 7 particularly for the comedy acts. Mike and Chris dance off imminent I think though.
Report LOU MACARIS TARTAN B November 3, 2019 11:08 AM GMT
Yes I hope so those in the B2 would suit me though obviously not over worried as surely they can't win it.

No I'm more concerned about Alex and Michelle who I'm large Red on yet once again last night both nicely through and looking good.

Concerned of London!
Report Libertine93 November 3, 2019 11:26 AM GMT
I’m also very red on Alex and Michelle but not concerned, can’t see either winning. Karim or Kelvin all the way for me
Report LOU MACARIS TARTAN B November 3, 2019 11:59 AM GMT
Yes gun at my head it looks a two horse race but still concerned that they're both going along very well.  I'm hoping Saffron could be in Final too as she's onside whereas just not convinced by Emma at all.

Fingers crossed.
