Bella - tricky one really. Previously done by Aiden Grimshaw and Tamera Foster. If she did it straight (even with a bit of the Arctic Monkeys Glastonbury spin) - I think it could really propel her forwards. The rap version - I'm not so sure.
Molly appears to have another of these virtually unknown US tracks which doesn't go anywhere which they use for people they have no interest in long term. Scarlett - more of an AI staple. I think she will do an adequate-good job, but SCowell could persist with the pub singer jibes. Shan - obviously been covered (done to death) by a lot of fancied runners on all the shows, so hard to go wrong with it. A bit odd that Dalton has already used it pre lives. Proud Mary done to death in all the shows and features loads in auditions, giving people a chance to stomp around and shake their hair (thinking annoying choir leader already). OK for a bit of entertaining but hardly the thing of winners. Misunderstood - so many other tracks with this title which would have been much more interesting. I think it will probably suit them. Are they likely to have a moment with it or gain new fans - not sure. United Vibe's track - as per Molly above. Danny - under-used and under-rated track so mildly interesting, but Danny is Danny so no biggie. Janice - track which gets everyone up dancing along similar lines to Livin' Joy. Performed well on the show a few times previously so hard to go wrong with it really. A curious one for Brendan. I loathe the original if he sticks to that, but there have been some interesting takes on it - when we saw Ella early doors and she made every sit up and take notice; likewise BGT Jasmine who made hems and mrs hems sit up and take notice. Dalton - done to death on all these shows, but frequently by fancied runners. Just realised Anthony's song is so dull, it completely passed me by and I have failed to comment on it. |

Good choice for Dalton IMO, like you say it may be known but usually for the right reasons - his vocal can add to it. |

all saying that the choir seems to be on the up. there is a lot of crap here which is no different from back in the day when Pete Waterman was a judge on pop idol. at least the choir offer something marketable for Simon like Diversity or whatever ... i need and love to self medicate thru all this crap including SCD. bring on tbe day of actual "Death Race 2019" or some kind of proper "Gladitaors" where death is an optoin! |
