Why are Israel in the Eurovision vote?

israel/armenia e.t.c. enter the european football championships as well so it's not just Eurovision

For the same reason Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan are. It's for the member countries of the European Broadcasting Union: those in Europe, the ex-USSR and the Mediterranean area. Morocco took part in 1980, Tunisia and Lebanon almost did in 1977 and 2005 respectively. Algeria, Libya, Egypt and Jordan are all eligible to take part but boycott it because of Israel. If, as looks likely, Israel withdraw, we could see some of those countries involved.

Why don't they invite Australia too?

Because it's not in the European Broadcasting area.

Agree. In fairness, Lebanon were hot for taking part in 2005, but their government refused to change laws banning Israeli content being shown on t.v., so they had to pull out.

Not on all counts, since Eurovision is for countries in Europe and around the Mediterranean basin.

I see you totally missed the point, pathetic of them because they decide not to take part in a singing contest in Denmark because of a county they fail to recognise exists is taking part.

Also when did Algeria, Libya, Egypt become part of Asia

If Israel withdrew then we could see some hot Lebanese and Egyptian totty.

Why are Israel so greedy. They only send encourage Dana international types imo
